Reserving a track to play next
During playback, the next track can be selected by the selector knob to
set the selected track into standby. When the current track is finished,
the reserved track automatically starts.
To activate this function, make the setting below.

Press MENU.

Turn the selector knob to select “NextReserv.”, then
press the selector knob.

Turn the selector knob to select “On”, then press the
selector knob.
•To disable this function, select “OFF”.

Press MENU to exit.
This function is available regardless of “FinishMode” setting
(vpage15).
Operations enabled during playback
Starting playback from a specified position
(Cue function)
You can specify a certain position and start playback there. To use this
function, set a position (cue point) first.

At a position from where you want to start playback
next, press 1/3 to set the player in the pause mode.

Press 6 or 7 to ne-tune the position.

Press CUE.
The CUE indicator lights.

During playback, press CUE.
Playback stops.

Press 1/3.
Playback starts from the cue point.
Skipping a silent section automatically (Auto Cue)
Some tracks may have an introduction with very weak sound level.
The Auto Cue function automatically skips such a silent section to
search the first point that exceeds −40dBFS within 20 seconds from
the beginning of a track. By activating this function, each track can be
accessed with a silent section skipped.
To use this function, make the following setting.
q Press MENU.
w Turn the selector knob to select “Auto Cue”, then press the
selector knob.
e Turn the selector knob to select “On”.
If you do not want to skip a silent section , select “Off”.
r Press the selector knob to enter your selection.
t Press MENU to exit.
