Nel sistema Auro-3D, vengono aggiunti altoparlanti Frontali alti, Surround alti e Superiore surround a un sistema a 5.1 canali convenzionale per
ottenere un campo sonoro naturale e realistico che si sente da tutte le direzioni.
Dopo l’aggiornamento, se si posizionano gli altoparlanti per l’Auro-3D, è possibile usufruire della riproduzione Auro-3D.
È anche possibile utilizzare la riproduzione Dolby Atmos con 7.1 canali (altoparlanti a 5.1 canali da pavimento + Frontali alti).

Auro-3D non supporta altoparlanti Superiori anteriori, Superiori centrali, Superiori posteriori, Posteriori alti e Dolby Atmos Enabled.
Se si utilizzano tali altoparlanti e si desidera usufruire di Auro-3D, è necessario sostituirli con altoparlanti Frontali alti e Surround alti come quelli indicati sopra.
È possibile utilizzare sia lo standard Auro-3D che lo standard Dolby Atmos con una configurazione 5.1, mediante l’aggiunta di altoparlanti Frontali alti.
