Connecting the TRIGGER OUT jacks
Turn the DC 12 V voltage on and off for the
individual functions and surround modes.
For details, see “Setting the Trigger Out” (
page 59).
Connecting the RS-232C terminal
This terminal is used for an external controller.
Perform the following operation before using an
external controller connected to the RS-232C
terminal:
1. Press the ON/STANDBY button on the main
unit and set the unit to the operating mode.
2. Perform the operation to turn off the power
from the external control.
3. Check that the product has been set to the
standby mode.
After checking the above, check the
connections of the external controller.
Operation is possible.
Use these terminals if you wish to connect external power amplifier(s) to increase the power of the
front, center, surround and surround back sound channels, or for connection to powered loudspeakers.
When using only one surround back speaker, connect it to the left channel.

monitors or other electrical appliances.

The power to the outlet is turned on and off in
conjunction with the POWER switch on the
main unit, and when the power is switched
between on and standby from the remote
control unit.
No power is supplied from this outlet when
this unit’s power is at standby. Never connect
equipment whose total power consumption
exceeds 120 W (1 A).
