• Diepvries producten in zakjes of plastic folie of in hun verpakking, kunnen direct in de oven

geplaatst worden, mits er geen metalen delen aanzitten (bijvoorbeeld stripjes of ringetjes).

• Sommige produkten, zoals groenten en vis, hoeven niet helemaal ontdooid te worden voordat

men aan de bereiding begint.

• Gerechten in een saus, ragôut en stoofpotten ontdooien beter en sneller als deze af en toe

omgeroerd, omgekeerd en uit elkaar gehaald worden.

•Tijdens het ontdooien van vlees en vis komt vocht vrij. Het is daarom aan te raden deze produkten

te ontdooien in een bakje.

• Het is aan te raden elk stuk vlees in een apart zakje te doen alvorens over te gaan tot het

invriezen. Hierdoor zult u kostbare tijd besparen tijdens de bereiding.

• De tijden aangegeven op de verpakking van diepvriesprodukten dienen zorgvuldig gecontroleerd

te worden, omdat ze niet altijd juist zijn. Het is raadzaam de aangegeven tijden voor het

ontdooien enigszins te verkorten. De duur van het ontdooien zal variëren al naar gelang het

niveau van invriezing.
