MODELS WITH 24 HOUR TIMER (G) (if present)
To set the heating periods proceed as follows:
Check the time on your clock or watch. If it is 10.00 for example, turn the numbered programmer
disk until the number 10 coincides with the pointer marked on the programmer. Set the periods
of time during which you want the appliance to operate by pushing the teeth towards the centre.
Each tooth corresponds to a period of 15 min. At the end of this procedure, red sectors correspon-
ding to the operating periods can be seen.
- In this way, the appliance will function automatically each day at the times set.
(Important: the plug must always be inserted in the socket)
- To modify programming, return the red teeth to the initial position and set the new operating
periods.
- To use the appliance without programming, push all the teeth into the centre. In this case, to
turn the appliance off completely, as well as turning off the switches, also unplug from the
mains to avoid the programmer operating uselessly.
MODELS WITH TOWEL DRYER RAIL (Model A)
Certain models have a towel dryer rail (F) to dry towels. Lift the rail (F) up slowly until you hear a
click. To avoid overheating in this mode, the heat output must not go above 1000 W.
Now you can hang towels or underwear on the rail to dry.
When the appliance is not used for drying, lift the rail upwards as far as it will go to release it, then
move it downwards (fig. 1).
Important: Never overload the towel dryer rail (F) and take particular care when drying delicate
fabrics.
MAINTENANCE
- Always unplug from the mains socket before cleaning.
- Periodically clean the air intake and outlet grilles.
- Never use abrasive powders or solvents.
WARNINGS
- Always use the heater in an upright position.
- Do not use the appliance near showers, bathtubs or swimming pools, etc. If installed in the bath-
room, respect the distances shown in fig. 6.
- Do not cover the appliance when in operation as this could cause a fire risk.
- The heater must be positioned at least 50 cm from furniture, walls, curtains, or other objects.
- When the appliance is used as a portable heater, do not place it close to walls, furniture, curtains
etc.
- The use of extension leads is not recommended. However if they cannot be avoided, follow the
instructions accompanying the extension lead and never exceed the power limit marked on the
extension.
- The appliance must not be positioned underneath a fixed power point.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorised service
centre or a qualified electrician in order to eliminate all risk.
The heater is fitted with a safety device which switches it off in the event of accidental overhea-
ting (eg. obstruction of air intake and outlet grilles, motor turning slowly or not at all). To reset,
unplug the appliance from the mains socket for a few minutes, remove the cause of overheating
then plug in again.
Important: never overload the towel dryer rail as it could be hazardous.
Important: never under any circumstances cover the appliance during operation as this
would lead to dangerous overheating of the appliance itself.
