8. MENU SETTINGS
8.1 Rinsing
Use this function to deliver hot water from the coee spouts
(A12) and from the cappuccino maker/hot water spout (C6), if
inserted, to clean and heat the appliance’s internal circuit.
Place a container with a minimum capacity of 100 ml under the
cappuccino maker/hot water spout (g. 6).
To enable the function, proceed as follows:
1. Press the MENU/ESC button (B3) to enter the menu;
2. Press the CAPPUCCINO (B9) or MILK (B11) button (g. 8)
until “Rinsing” appears on the display (B4);
3. Press the button (B5 - g. 5): the message “Con-
rm?” is displayed;
Important! Danger of burns!
Do not leave the appliance unattended while hot water is being
delivered.
4. Press the
button. “RINSING, Please wait” is
displayed;
5. After a few seconds, hot water is delivered rst from the
coee spouts, then from the cappuccino maker/hot water
spout (if inserted) to clean and heat the appliance’s inter-
nal circuit. “RINSING” is displayed, together with a progress
bar which lls gradually as preparation proceeds;
6. To stop the process press any button or wait for delivery of
water to stop automatically.
Please note!
• If the appliance is not used for more than 3-4 days, we
strongly recommend, when switching on the appliance,
performing 2/3 rinses before using it;
• After cleaning, it is normal for the coee grounds container
(A21) to contain water.
8.2 Descaling

8.3 Install lter
For instructions on how to install the lter, see section “15.
Water softener lter”.
8.4 Replacing the lter
For instructions on how to replace the lter (C4), see the section
“15.2 Replacing the lter”.
8.5 Adjust time
To adjust the time on the display (B4), proceed as follows:
1. Press the MENU/ESC button (B3) to enter the menu;
2. Press the CAPPUCCINO (B9) or MILK (B11) (g. 8) button
(g. 8) until “Adjust time” is displayed;
3. Press the
button (B5 - g. 5);
4. Press the CAPPUCCINO or MILK button to change the
hour;
5. Press the
button to conrm;
6. Press the CAPPUCCINO or MILK button to change the
minutes;
7. Press the
button to conrm.
The time is set. Press the MENU/ESC button to exit the menu.
8.6 Auto-start
You can set the auto-start time in order to have the appliance
ready at a certain time (for example in the morning) so you can
make coee immediately.
Please note!
To enable this function, the time must already be set correctly.
To enable auto-start, proceed as follows:
1. Press the MENU/ESC button (B3) to enter the menu;
2. Press the CAPPUCCINO (B9) or MILK (B11) (g. 8) button
until “Auto-start” appears on the display (B4);
3. Press the
button (B5 - g. 5). “Enable?” is
displayed;
4. Press the button to conrm;
5.
Press the CAPPUCCINO or MILK button to change the hour;
6. Press the button to conrm;
7. Press the CAPPUCCINO or MILK button to change the
hour;
8. Press the button to conrm;
9. Press the MENU/ESC button to exit the menu
Once the time has been conrmed, activation of auto-start is
indicated by the symbol displayed alongside the time and
under “Auto-start” in the menu.
To disable the function:
1. Select auto-start from the menu;
2. Press the button. “Disable?” is displayed;
3. Press the button to conrm.
The symbol is no longer displayed.
8.7 Auto-o
The time can be changed so that the appliance switches o
after being idle for 15 or 30 minutes, or after 1, 2 or 3 hours.
To re-programme Auto-o, proceed as follows:
1. Press the MENU/ESC button (B3) to enter the menu;
2. Press the CAPPUCCINO (B9) or MILK (B11) button (g. 8)
until “Auto-o” appears on the display (B4);
3. Press the
button (B5 - g. 5);
