Ihr DVD-Player kann mit NTSC und PAL Fernsehgeräten betrieben werden,
sowie Fernsehgeräten, die dafür vorgesehen sind, mit beiden Standards funk-
tionstüchtig zu sein oder “Multi”-Geräte. Wählen Sie eine der folgenden Optio-
nen aus:
NTSC:
In den USA, Kanada, Japan und vielen anderen Ländern verwendete
Farbfernsehnorm mit 60 Bildwechseln pro Sekunde im Interlaceverfahren, 525
Zeilen gesamt, 480 mit Bildinhalt.

AL: In den meisten europäischen Ländern, Afrika und dem Mittleren Osten
verwendete Farbfernsehnorm mit 50 Bildwechseln pro Sekunde im Interlace-
verfahren, 625 Zeilen gesamt, 576 mit Bildinhalt.
Automatisch:
Die DVD wird im Ursprungsformat abgespielt (Multinorm-TV
notwendig).
Videoausgang
Passen Sie die Einstelloptionen in diesem Menü dem von Ihnen verwendeten
Videoeingang an. Komposite-Video ist die bekannteste Art des Videoanschlus-
ses und wird von den meisten Fernsehgeräten unterstützt. Wenn Sie Ihren
DVD-Player über den Komposite-Videoausgang an Ihr Fernsehgerät anschlies-
sen, ist es normalerweise nicht notwendig, die Ausgangseinstellungen zu ver-
ändern.

ideo: Übertragungsart für Videobilder mit zwei Leitungen für Helligkeit und
Farbe getrennt. Ermöglicht bessere Videobilder als Komposite-Video, das nur
über ein Kabel ausgegeben wird.
RGB (über Scart):
Elektronische Übertragungsmöglichkeit für Videobilder, d.h.
hierbei handelt es sich um ein Bildsignal, das gemäß den Grundfarben des
Fernsehers (rot, grün und blau) gesplittet wird.
Toneinstellungen
Markieren Sie den gewünschten Menüpunkt im Menü “Audio”. Drücken Sie die
Taste “ENTER”, um ein Menü aufzurufen. Wählen Sie mit Hilfe der Taste “
C”
oder “
D” die gewünschte Toneinstellung aus und drücken Sie “ENTER”.
Digitalausgang
Einstellung des Ausgabeformates für den digitalen Ausgang (SPDIF). Es ste-
hen folgende Einstelloptionen zur Verfügung:
PCM:
PCM (Pulse Code Modulation). Die Beschreibung des PCM Tons auf
DVDs entspricht dem CD System, jedoch mit einer höheren Abtastrate (48 kHz,
96 kHz auch möglich). Alternativ wird der Ton für die meisten Filme getrennt
gespeichert; Mehrfachkanal-Surround Sound unter Benutzung der Dolby Digi-
tal Tonkomprimierung vergleichbar mit den digitalen Surround Tonformaten, die
in Theatern benutzt werden. Diese Einstellung ist für 2-Kanal-Geräte geeignet.
