Charging cable
If the local mains supply does not allow charg-
ing at the maximum charging current, the
charging current can be reduced, depending
on the charging setting features in the infotain-
ment system ›››page79.
Temperature control
The charging cable temperature control
switches on when the charging cable over-
heats, such as when it has been stored in a lug-
gage compartment exposed to high tempera-
tures or strong sunlight.

1 , 4 ashing The housing connector
has overheated.
2 , 4 ashing The protection device
has overheated.
If the charging process continues with a lower
current, both the operating indicator and the
warning lamp ›››Fig.62 4 ash red.
●Unplug the charging cable from the mains
and wait for it to cool down.
●If it disconnects again, or the charging cur-
rent reduces and the cause does not seem to
be exposure to an external heat source, make
sure that the green control lamp is ashing
›››Fig.62. Visit a specialised CUPRA dealer or
any SEAT network dealer to check the charg-
ing cable. Get an establishment that special-
ises in electrical installations to check the in-
frastructure connection.
Fault display
If the red warning light 4 ashes or turns on
without one of the indicator lamps ›››Fig.62
1, 2 or 3 also turning on continuously on
the status indicator, there is a fault.

ing the charging process, or if the vehicle is
right next to the high voltage cables, charg-
ing from an electrical socket is not possible in
some cases. Additional mains connections:
●Connecting a 12 volt battery charger.
●Contact with a work tool connect to the
mains, such as a vehicle lift.
