Charging the high-voltage battery
Drive: Fault! Park the vehicle in a safe
place
If this message is displayed on the instrument
cluster and you also detect a burning or gassy
smell or smoke, please note and follow the
steps below:
● Stop driving! Stop the vehicle immedi-
ately, taking into account the traic situation.
●Choose a safe place outdoors, away from
buildings or vehicles, canopies, covered car
parks or similar places.
●Switch the ignition o.
●Before leaving the vehicle, make sure it is im-
mobilised (parking brake, parking lock P).
●Leave the ignition key on the dash panel or in
a visible place.
●Make sure that no people or animals remain
inside the vehicle.
●Notify the emergency services.
WARNING
If there is a risk of re in the high-voltage
battery cells, toxic gases may be generated or
high-voltage components may be live. There
is a risk of severe burns, serious injury or fatal
electric shock.

The warning lamp lights up red and is dis-
played along with with a text message on the
instrument cluster accompanied by a continu-
ous audible warning.
The high voltage battery temperature is too
high .
If this message is displayed on the instrument
cluster, please note ››› and follow the steps
below:
● Stop driving! Stop the vehicle immedi-
ately, taking into account the traic situation.
● Choose a safe place outdoors, away from
buildings or vehicles, canopies, covered car
parks or similar places.
●Before leaving the vehicle, make sure it is im-
mobilised (parking brake, parking lock P).
●Switch o the ignition and leave the ignition
key on the dash panel or in a visible place.
●Exit the vehicle and make sure that there are
no other people or animals left inside.
●Make sure that you leave the danger zone to-
gether with all other occupants of the vehicle
and that everyone remains in an area that is
protected from traic (e.g. behind the guard
rail).
●Notify the emergency services.
If the message is hidden, the warning lamp re-
mains visible .
The audible warning can only be turned o
by a qualied workshop. CUPRA recommends
that you visit an oicial dealer.
WARNING
If there is a risk of re in the high-voltage
battery, toxic gases may escape or compo-
nents may be released from the high voltage
battery. There is a risk of serious injury, burns
or lethal electric shocks.
●Park the vehicle safely as soon as possible

tance away from it.
●Call the re department immediately.
The charging process is not possible or has
been paused
The charging process indicator located next to
the charging socket lights up red.
Before visiting a specialist workshop, you can
try the following solutions:
●Plug the charging cable back in.
●Check that the charging settings are as de-
sired: “immediate” or “programmed”.
●Check that the charging connector is plug-
ged in correctly.
●Check if a fault is displayed on the charging
station or, depending on the equipment, on
the charging cable protection device.
