Cooling system
Closing the bonnet
●Slightly lift the bonnet.
●Release the bonnet stay and replace it in its
support.
●At a height of approximately 20 cm let it fall
so it locks.
If the bonnet does not close, do not press
downwards. Open it again and let it fall as men-
tioned above.
WARNING
Make sure that the bonnet is properly closed.
If it opens when driving, it can cause an acci-
dent.
NOTICE
To avoid damage to the bonnet and to the
windscreen wiper arms, only open it when
the windscreen wipers are in place against
the windscreen.
Fluids and consumables
Introduction
All uids and consumables, such as engine
coolant or vehicle batteries, are subject to
continuous development. For this reason,
whenever a uid or consumable needs to be
replaced, please contact a specialist workshop.
CUPRA dealers always promptly receive infor-
mation about any modications.
WARNING
If unsuitable uids and consumables are used
or used improperly, accidents, injuries, burns
and severe poisoning can occur.
●Only store operating uids in their original
containers, tightly closed.
●Never store operating uids in empty food
cans, bottles or other empty containers, as
they could be ingested by somebody.
●Keep all uids and consumables out of
reach of children.
●Always read and observe the information
and warnings given on containers of operat-
ing uids.
●When using products that emit harmful va-
pours, always work outdoors or in a well-ven-
tilated area.
NOTICE
Use only appropriate operating uids. Never
confuse operating uids. This could result in
serious malfunctions and motor damage!
For the sake of the environment
Leakages of operating uids can contami-
nate the environment. If any operating uid
leaks, collect it in an appropriate container
and dispose of it properly and in an environ-
mentally friendly manner.
Cooling system
Introduction
Only carry out work on the motor cooling sys-
tem yourself if you are familiar with the neces-
sary operations and the generally applicable
safety measures, and if you have the appro-
priate tools, equipment and operating uids.
Works performed inadequately could lead to
serious injuries . In this case, seek a special-
ised workshop to perform all the works. To do
so, CUPRA recommends going to a specialised
CUPRA dealer or any SEAT dealership.
WARNING
Engine coolant is toxic!
●Only store coolant in its original container,
tightly closed and in a safe place.
●Never store motor coolant in empty food
cans, bottles or other empty containers, as it
could be ingested by another person.
●Always keep motor coolant out of reach of
children.
