De NuVinci is voorzien van een NuVinci Harmony, de
volledig traploze en versnellingsnaaf. De versnelling is
niet alleen traploos, hij is ook naar wens
volautomatisch. Middels de knop op de rechter handle,
kunt u schakelen tussen handmatig en volautomatisch:
Handmatige bediening:
De afbeelding hierboven geeft de handmatige
bediening van de versnelling weer. Hoe meer blokjes
oplichten hoe lager de versnelling en hoe hoger uw
trap-frequentie, zoals bij het oprijden van een viaduct.
U kunt eenvoudig tijdens het fietsen traploos de door u
gewenste versnelling kiezen. U schakelt (traploos) door
de draaihandle bij het rechter handvat te bedienen.
Opmerking:
Het systeem werkt als elektronisch en wordt gevoed
vanuit de hoofdbatterij. Als deze batterij leeg is, werkt
het schakelsysteem niet meer. U kunt nog wel gewoon
fietsen als met een traditionele, niet elektrische fiets,
maar kunt niet niet meer veranderen van versnelling.
Gebruik van het NuVinci systeem
De afbeelding hierboven is de volledige automaat. Hoe
meer blokjes oplichten hoe sneller uw trap-frequentie
zal zijn. Hoe minder blokjes er oplichten, hoe
langzamer uw trapfrequentie zal zijn. U kunt zelf deze
keuze (gewenste cadans) instellen met de draaihandle
rechts van het display.
De versnelling werkt volledig automatisch en houdt uw
fiets op dezelfde cadans tijdens elke fietssnelheid (tot
max 25km/uur). Als u stopt gaat de versnelling
automatisch naar de laagste versnelling. Als u daarna
weer start (na bv een stoplicht) kunt u weer optoeren
naar de door u ingestelde trapsnelheid. Zodra deze
bereikt is, neemt de automaat het over.
