Initial Assembly and Unfolding the Croozer
Installing and removing the handlebar, light-
ing system and safety wrist strap
The handlebar has two functions. Firstly, it is used for
pushing the Croozer as a swivel-wheel Buggy or  xed-
wheel Stroller. For this purpose, the handlebar can be
mounted in either a high or a low position, depending on
the height and preferences of the user. Secondly, the han-
dlebar functions as a roll bar, protecting the passengers
should the Croozer tip over in the rare event of an acci-
dent. The handlebar is equipped with integrated wiring for
the installation of the Croozer lighting system. This lighting
system is included with the Croozer Kid Plus and may
have to be installed. The lighting system (accessory) can
be retrofitted to the Croozer Kid.
1. If applicable, begin by installing the original Croozer
lighting system to the handlebar. (The lighting system
is included with the Croozer Kid Plus and can be retro-
tted as an accessory to the Croozer Kid.) For instal-
lation instructions, please see the separate manual for
the lighting system.
2. Decide whether you would prefer to use the handlebar
in the high (2) or low (3) position.
3. Slide the smaller loop of the safety wrist strap (4) over
the handlebar, and insert both ends of the handlebar
simultaneously into the upper frame tubes until you
see and hear it lock into place on both sides.
Tip: The ends of the new handlebar may stick somewhat
when inserting them into the frame tube for the first
time. If so, a light coating of silicone spay can help.
The handlebar must be securely locked in place in the
frame tubes. Otherwise, the handlebar could fall off
when you are pushing it, and the Croozer could roll away
unintentionally, resulting in accidents with serious injury
or death.
When the Croozer is being used as a Bicycle Trailer, the
handlebar must remain securely attached at all times. If
the trailer should ever tip over, the handlebar acts as a
roll bar, helping to prevent injuries.
Tip: When not in use, the safety wrist strap can hang
inside (6) the rear compartment area.
4. To remove the handlebar, follow these instructions in
the reverse order. Begin by pressing the buttons (5)
on both sides of the handlebar or lighting system, and
then pull the handlebar out of the frame.
