Please also familiarise yourself with the fire
safety regulations on site (e.g. at the camp-
site).
Keep the exit free! Do not block the exit with
objects.
Precautionary measures
against fire
The following common sense rules must
be followed in order to camp safely:
Do not place any switched on electronic appli-
ances near the walls, roof, or curtains.
Always follow the safety instructions for these
appliances.
Never allow children to play close to the
appliances while they are switched on.
Leave the passageways free. Do no block the
exits with objects.
Inform yourself about fire safety facilities and
provisions on the site.
Pay attention to the weather and its
effects
When choosing a location for the article,
always consider local circumstances and how
these could change. Is the location in a place
that will flood if it rains? Please take any rising
river levels or tides into account.
Protect the product from strong wind and
storms. Place the product in a place that is
protected from the wind if possible.
Exchange the normal tent pegs for special
storm tent pegs in advance of strong winds.
Get information on useful additional products
at your specialist retailer.
Dismantle the tent before heavy snow or
storms.
Remove snow from the product. Otherwise the
product can collapse under the weight.
Do not erect the tent too tightly as it will be
unable to adapt to changing weather condi-
tions and could be damaged.
Zippers are wearing parts and are not inclu-
ded in the guarantee.
The polyester material of the tent is made of
water-resistant material.
It is possible that the tent is not completely
watertight for the first rain. However the water
will cause the threads in the tent to contract
and the tent will then become waterproof after
a short time.
In moisture and rain the tent fabric will ex-
pand at different rates and make it necessary
to re-tighten the guy-ropes. When the material
tightens again during drying the guy-ropes
need to be loosened again in good time.
Do not use insect spray in or on the tent.
Small leaks on seams can be resolved with
seam spray and waterproofing spray can be
used for the awning.
Assembly
NOTE!
Perform a test assembly before the camping trip.
In doing so, ensure that all the accessories are
present.
Selecting a location for
placing the tent
Choose a place that is as flat and clean as
possible. Avoid dips in the ground.
Remove stones, branches and other sharp ob-
jects in order to prevent damage to the tent floor.
Use natural shade, such as hedges, rocks, etc.
Use the appropriate pegs for sandy ground in
order to prevent accidental loosening of the
tension.
NOTE!
Insert the pegs into the ground at a slight angle
to achieve good strength but without causing
tension in the tent surface. The tent material and
tension points should only be slightly taut, so that
it can compensate for pressure from the wind.
Ensure that there is not too much pressure on the
tent. Check the tent tension according to weather
condition.
NOTE!
Water condensation occurs basically in every
tent, however particularly during strong fluctu-
ations in temperature. After a night in the tent,
there will be drops of condensation on the inner
wall. Condensation is not evidence of leakiness.
Good ventilation reduces condensation in the
tent.
