De Dakkant prisma spotters zijn gewoonlijk compact, maar in sommige gevallen wordt dit
systeem gebruikt in scopes met een hoge vergrotingsgraad. Het beeld in dit optische ontwerp
moet door meer oppervlaktes binnenin de prisma cluster reizen om de juiste focus lengte en
de gewenste vergroting te verkrijgen en tegelijkertijd een juiste maat houden. De kwaliteit van
het beeld kan in negatieve zin beïnvloed worden aangezien licht verloren gaat tijdens het
reizen door de verschillende oppervlaktes van het prisma.
Deze spotting scopes worden voornamelijk gebruikt bij de jacht, sport evenementen,
surveillance, algemeen gebruik en fotografie.
De Porro en Dakkant prisma’s worden onderverdeeld in twee kwaliteits groepen. BK7 lage
dichtheid van de licht geleiding (lagere kwaliteit) en de BAK4 hoge dichtheid van de licht
geleiding.

3. HET GEBRUIK VAN DE SPOTTING SCOPE
In elkaar zetten
Verwijder het tafelstatief uit de verpakking, spreid de poten uit elkaar en plaats hem op een
stevig oppervlak. Plaats de spotting scope met de statief schroefdraad op het platform en
draai de schroef in de spotting scope.
Instelbaar tafelstatief
Trek de lange poot uit en plaats de andere twee naar buiten. Stel de hoek in door de
onderste vastzet knop tegen de wijzers van de klok in los te draaien. Zodra de scope in
positie staat draait u de vastzet knop weer vast. De hoek van de scope kan ingesteld
worden met de bovenste vastzet knop.

Scherpstellen
Met de scope in de gewenste positie kijkt u door het oogstuk en kunt u scherpstellen door het
draaien van de scherpstel knop tot het beeld helder en scherp is. Het scherpstellen dient te
geschieden met het oculair in stand 15X, als het instellen gereed is kunt u de vergroting
vermeerderen door de zoom ring te draaien. Het kan nodig zijn dat u het beeld moet bijstellen
met de scherpstel knop.
