by the arrows (fig. 33). Remove the cover and examine the
battery and battery housing status: if you see signs of corro-
sion due to water infiltration, contact an Authorized Cressi-sub
Service Center to check the computer.
If everything appears OK, simply remove the battery, keeping
the computer downward, thus allowing the battery to slide
out of its housing. When placing the new battery, check that
the polarity is right (if improperly placed, all calibration and
memory data may be lost!). Also replace the OR of the bat-
tery housing closing cap. (fig. 34). The battery housing is
watertight and does not communicate with the core of the
device. However, before closing the cover again, check that
there is no dirt in the housing and place a thin layer of silicone
grease along the OR seal of the battery cover (fig. 35 a-b).
NOTE:
Screw the battery cover back in place, Do not
over tighten! Excessive tightening could break the cover
or make it difficult to open again.
NOTE:
Check that the dive computer is properly water-
tight! The battery has a look-through cover so that you can
easily check for any water leakage into the battery housing.
IMPORTANT
: warranty does not cover computer failures
or leakages due to inadequate battery replacement.
