Problemen met
de bestands-
overdracht op
sommige
moederborden
met VIA-chipsets
Nadat u de kaart op een moederbord met VIA-chipset hebt geïnstalleerd, is het mogelijk dat een van de
volgende problemen optreedt:
Tijdens de overdracht van grote hoeveelheden gegevens reageert de computer niet meer (“hangt”) of start
de computer zichzelf opnieuw, of bestanden die van het ene station naar het andere worden overgebracht,
zijn onvolledig of beschadigd.
Deze problemen doen zich voor bij een klein aantal computers die een VIA VT82C686B-
controllerchipset op het moederbord hebben.
U kunt als volgt controleren of het moederbord over een VT82C686B-chipset beschikt:
- Raadpleeg de handleiding van de computer of de handleiding van het moederbord, of
In Windows:
1. Klik op Start -> Instellingen -> Configuratiescherm.
2. Dubbelklik op het pictogram Systeem.
3. Klik op het tabblad Apparaatbeheer of Hardware.
4. Klik op het pictogram Systeemapparaten.
5. In de lijst die verschijnt, kijkt u of u de gemarkeerde onderdelen van de afbeelding hieronder ziet staan.
6. Indien de items in de lijst staan, verwijdert u het deksel van de computer en kijkt u op het moederbord
waar zich de VIA-chipset bevindt. (Lees de veiligheidsmaatregelen in de handleiding eerst door.)
7. Bij de VT82C686B-chipset staat het modelnummer op de chip vermeld.
Als u de VT82C686B-chipset hebt:
Creative raadt u aan eerst contact op te nemen met de computerleverancier of de fabrikant van het
moederbord voor de oplossing van het probleem.
Er zijn gebruikers die de bovenstaande problemen op een van de volgende manieren, of op beide
manieren, hebben opgelost:
–Door de laatste VIA 4in1-stuurprogramma’s te downloaden van http://www.viatech.com*;
–Door de laatste BIOS voor het moederbord te bestellen op de website van de fabrikant*.
