Explanation of safety symbols on the battery
Please carefully read this manual before use.
Do not expose the battery to high temperatures
or open fire.
Do not throw the battery away: hand it in to the
dealer at the end of its life cycle.
The battery components can be recycled.
4 PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES AND
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Safe cycling? Carefully read the following instructions.
– Do not switch the bicycle on until you have mounted
it (6). Please wait with cycling until you see the bat-
tery charge on the screen; at that point the bicycle is
fully ready. Your pedals may start to turn accidentally
when you walk next to your bike and the bicycle may
start riding inadvertently.
– The system is not designed to be used by people
with mental impairments unless they are under
supervision or instruction by a person responsible
for their safety.
– Children must not be allowed to play with the
battery.
– The system is earthed for functional purposes only.
– Do not open the battery. Take care not to damage it
and do not attempt to take it apart.
– Do not expose the battery to high temperatures or
open fire.
– Do not make any short circuits in the system.
– Do not drop the battery, and protect it against heavy
jolts.
– Only use the original charger.
– Keep the battery clean and dry.
– Switch the lights on when cycling in the dark.
– Take care when mounting a child seat on the
luggage carrier. The carrier can take a weight of 35
kilos. Ask your dealer which child seat is the most
suitable.
– It is not permitted to soup up the motor (increase
the maximum speed).
– Keep this documentation in a safe place.
