I understand that steaming can be done in this air frye( 6.0 : 4651

I understand that steaming can be done in this air frye( 6.0 digital) it seems wrong to steam in an air fryer. If this is a good method, why was it not recommended or the old 5.3 digital model? Will it ruin the internal electronics?
