RDS-Funktionen
Das Kürzel RDS steht für Radio Daten System, d.h. es werden unhörbare, codierte Zusatzinformationen über den
UKW-RDS-Sender ausgestrahlt. Sie besitzen mit Ihrem Tuner TU-1000 ein Gerät, das in der Lage ist diese codierten
Daten, die von vielen Sendeanstalten ausgestrahlt werden, auszuwerten.
Programm Servicename (PS)
Eine Information bestehend aus max. 8 alphanumerischen Zeichen. Sie gibt dem Empfänger an, welcher Sender
gerade empfangen wird. Diese Information wird im Display des Gerätes wiedergegeben (z.B. BAYERN 3).
Programmtyp/art (PTY)
Dieser Code gibt dem Empfänger Informationen über die Art des gesendeten Programms (z.B. Sport, Klassik,
Nachrichten usw.). Der Hörer kann dadurch gezielt nach einem Programm seiner Wahl suchen.
Einige Sender nutzen die Radiotextfunktion (RT), um Mitteilungen zu übertragen. Im Display läuft die Meldung dann
langsam von rechts nach links durch.
Ein nationaler Katastrophenalarm kann ebenfalls auf diese Art verbreitet werden. Den PTY-Service bieten jedoch
nicht alle Sender an.
