Decalcifying
• Depending on the frequency of use and water hardness, it may be necessary to decalcify each or every second
week in order to optimize the performance of the appliance.
• If you live in a hard water area, we recommend using distilled water to help reduce the build-up of minerals.
• Do not clean the unit or the water tank with aggressive detergents or chemicals. You can use a decalcification
cartridge or cleaning tablets for humidifiers to keep the water tank free of deposits.
Storage
• Follow the instructions in the Cleaning and Decalcification chapters and clean the appliance, before storing at the
end of the season
• Dry the appliance properly before storing. DO NOT store the appliance if there is remaining water in the tank or
the base.
• Put the unit in the original packaging and store it in a cool, dry place.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Problem Possible cause Remedy
The humidifier does not
produce steam or mist
Improperly connected plug. Check that the plug is properly connected.
Blackout. Try it again after the power supply is restored.
Improperly attached top cover.
Check that the top cover is properly attached to
the tank so that there are no gaps around the
perimeter.
The air is flowing, but no
vapour is produced
The water in the tank is below the
minimum level or there is too much
water in the tank.
Add water above the minimum level or pour
out the excess water.
There are sediments in the water
tank. Wash the tank and try again.
The mist chip is dirty. Carefully clean the mist chip.
Low humidity Water in the tank is too cold. Replace it with lukewarm water.
Steam smells
unpleasantly
Insufficient maintenance or dirty
water.
Clean the humidifier thoroughly and fill with
fresh water.
A white powder appears
on the surrounding
furniture.
Hard water.
Hard water can cause dust to build up. Moisture
produced by the humidifier also helps the dust
in the air to settle. If the problem persists, use
distilled water.
The appliance stopped
working. Low or no water content. Disconnect the appliance from the wall socket
and fill the water tank with water.
Water accumulates
outside the appliance
The air is saturated. Reduce the amount of steam.
The appliance is not placed on
a flat, stable surface thus water
accumulates outside the unit.
Disconnect the appliance from the socket and
place it on a flat surface.
Direction of the mist nozzle.
Do not aim the mist nozzle at objects around
the appliance. Place the unit on a waterproof
surface 60-90 cm above the floor level.
Water drips when
refilling the water tank
Water remains at the bottom of the
tank.
Let the tank dry or tilt it and pour water out
before manipulating with the appliance.
Increased noise level The unit is not placed on a flat
surface.
Make sure the unit is not standing on a soft,
absorbent surface.
The on/off button shines
red
The red backlit indicates there is
alow water content.
Disconnect the appliance from the wall socket
and fill the water tank with water.
SERVICE CENTRE
Extensive maintenance or repair, which requires access to internal parts of the product, has to be performed by
aqualified specialist or the service centre.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS
• Packaging materials and old appliances should be recycled.
• Packaging materials may be disposed of as sorted waste.
• Dispose the plastic bags made of polyethylene (PE) of as sorted waste.
