ASSEMBLY
ATTENTION!
Pull the power cord out of the socket before assembling or disassembling the unit.
The fan may only be used with the front and rear protective mesh attached (1), (5).
1. Mount the unit body unit onto the support stand.
2. Position the rear protective mesh (5) onto the drive unit so that the pins on the unit correspond with the
holes in the mesh. Use the attachment nut (4) to secure the assembly.
3. Slide the fan (3) onto the motor shaft by positioning the grooves in the fan hub against the shaft
tongues.
4. Turn the nut (2) counter-clockwise to fasten the fan.
5. Position the front wire mesh so that the mesh edges t into the grooves on the inside of the ring.
6. Tighten the fastening ring with the screw.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Prior to using the unit verify the power cord is intact.
1. Place the unit on a stable surface or oor to avoid tipping over.
2. Uncoil the power cord.
3. Tilt the fan as required (Fig. 1). You will hear several clicks that lock the fan in individual positions.
4. Connect the power cord plug to the wall socket.
5. Use the mode selector to choose the required speed –
0 – OFF, 1 – LOW, 2 – MEDIUM, 3 – HIGH
0 – OFF, 1 – LOW, 2 – HIGH (VS 5020).
6. To turn fan oscillation o while the unit is running, pull out the oscillation selector (Fig. 2). Pushing the
selector in turns oscillation on.
7. After use, turn the mode selector to 0 and unplug the unit from the mains.
