Positions du corps
La position de la personne stimulée dépend du groupe musculaire que l’on désire
stimuler et du programme choisi. Pour les objectifs de la catégorie Coach qui imposent
des contractions musculaires (contractions tétaniques), il est recommandé de toujours
travailler le muscle en isométrique. Vous devez donc fixer solidement les extrémités
de vos membres. Vous offrez de la sorte une résistance maximale au mouvement et
vous empêchez le raccourcissement de votre muscle pendant la contraction, et donc
les crampes et les courbatures importantes après la séance. Par exemple, lors de la
stimulation des cuisses, la personne se placera en position assise, avec les chevilles
fixées au moyen de sangles pour empêcher lextension des genoux.
Pour les programmes de la catégorie Wellness qui n’induisent pas de puissantes
contractions musculaires mais uniquement des secousses musculaires, positionnez-
vous de la façon la plus confortable possible.
Réglage des énergies de stimulation
Dans un muscle stimulé, le nombre de fibres qui travaillent dépend de l'énergie de
stimulation. Pour les objectifs de la catégorie Coach qui imposent des contractions
musculaires (contractions tétaniques), il faut donc absolument utiliser des énergies
de stimulation maximales (jusqu’à 694), toujours à la limite de ce que vous pouvez
supporter, de façon à recruter le plus de fibres possibles.
