3. AJUSTEMENT DES INTENSITÉS DE STIMULATION
Sur un muscle stimulé, le nombre de bres recrutées dépend de l’intensité de stimulation.
Pour les programmes induisant de puissantes contractions musculaires (contractions tétaniques), il faut
absolument utiliser des intensités de stimulation maximales (jusqu’à 999) toujours à la limite de ce que
vous pouvez supporter, an de recruter un nombre maximal de bres. Le progrès d’un muscle sera d’autant
plus important qu’un nombre élevé de ses bres travaille. Durant la séance il est donc important d’essayer
d’augmenter l’intensité toutes les 3 à 5 contractions.
Pour les autres types de programmes type récupération, massage, capillarisation ou encore douleur
musculaire qui n’induisent que des battements musculaires vous devez progressivement augmenter les
intensités de stimulation jusqu’à obtenir des battements musculaires bien visibles.
Pour les programmes type TENS, Epicondylite, Tendinites vous devez progressivement augmenter les
intensités jusqu’à ressentir un fourmillement sous les électrodes.
4. PROGRESSION DES CYCLES DE STIMULATION
Il est recommandé de débuter par le 1er cycle et de passer au niveau suivant quand le cycle est terminé,
normalement après 4 à 6 semaines de stimulation à raison de 3 séances par semaine. Il est aussi important
d’avoir atteint des intensités de stimulation signicatives lors des séances avant de passer à un autre cycle.
A la n d’un cycle vous pouvez soit débuter un nouveau cycle soit réaliser un entretien à raison d’une
séance par semaine.
