The starter battery is maintenance-free and is normally charged by the lawnmower. In certain cases, however,
the battery will need to be charged by the user:
1. before the initial start-up of the lawnmower.
2. If discharged, before the winter season, or if left unused for long periods (> 6 months).
Charging procedure:
1. Insert the charger cable fully to the charging hole. (Fig.13)
2. Connect the charger to the mains supply. The mains voltage must match the operating voltage of the
charger.
3. The required charging time is about 8-10 hours each time.
WARNING!
- Use only the original battery charger supplied and do not use with other devices.
- Charge the starter battery only in dry, well-ventilated rooms.
- Do not start up the lawnmower while the battery is charging.
- The longest charging time interval is 1 month.

WARNING: Never touch a rotating cutting blade.
11. STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS (OFF SEASON)
The following steps should be taken to prepare the lawn mower for storage.
1. Empty the tank after the last mowing of the season.
a) Empty the petrol tank with a suction pump.
CAUTION! Do not drain the petrol in closed rooms, in close proximity of open fire, etc. Do not smoke!
Petrol fumes can cause an explosion or fire.
b) Start the engine and let it run until it has used up all remaining petrol and stalls.
c) Remove the spark plug. Use an oilcan to fill approx. 20 ml of oil into the combustion chamber. Operate the
starter to evenly distribute the oil in the combustion chamber. Replace the spark plug.
2. Clean and grease the lawnmower carefully as described above under “Lubrication”.
3. Slightly grease the cutter to avoid corrosion.
4. Store the lawnmower in a dry, clean and frost-protected place.
5. Store the starter battery where it will be protected from frost.
6. Recharge the starter battery from time to time.
7. Store the charger in a dry and locked place that is generally free of dust. Ensure that it is protected from
unauthorised use (e.g. by children).
8. for optimum battery service life, store at +10°C to +20°C and at a charge level of approx.30%.
