The raclett e grill with the natural stone plate
(6420) does not ha ve non-stick coating . Howe -
ver , y ou will not have to g rease the stone.
TIP: T o pr event the meat from sticking to the
natural stone pla te, simply pour a little salt on
the stone.
The continous temperatur e control on the ap-
pliance allows you to adjust the grilling tempe-
rature to the f ood being grilled or to keep food warm.
CAUTION: T he stone plate is a natural pr oduct,
which may crack or break due to quick changes
of temperature . This can be av oided by hand-
ling as following bef ore rst usage:
1. Clean the stone as described under „Cleaning“ .
2. Dry the stone by rubbing with a towel thoroughly .
3. Coat the stone with a heat-r esistant (food-) oil .
4. Put the stone into a c old oven and heat it to 220 ° C.
5. Leave the st one for 45 minutes in the ov en.
6. T urn o the oven and let the st one cool
down slowly until it reaches r oom temperature .
DONT cool the stone with cold water!
Despite of this procedure , the stone may get
small cracks or color variations during later use .
This is no reason for r ejection since the
function is not aected!
Operation
Place the grill on a dry, non-slip , and level surface.
Inser t the plug into the wall socket.
The red contr ol lamp will be illuminated.
Select a heat setting between 1 and 5 to adjust
the temperature f or the food being grilled.
CAUTION ! T he applianc e
is now becoming hot.
Pre-heat the raclette grill for a f ew minutes.
Place the food on the grill .
Choose the food you want t o place in the small pans.
NOTE : Do not stack up the food inside the pans
too high. Y ou can now either slide the small
pans below the grill plate t o gratin the food or
place food on the grill plate .
NOTE: When placing food on the grill, bewar e
that hot grease of wa ter ma y spurt from the g rill
surface.
CAUTION! Do not turn the f ood
using grill utensils made of metal.
This will damage the non-stick
surface of your raclette grill with
T eppan Y aki plate!
Use only grill utensils made of
wood or heat-proof plastic!
Do not use aluminium grill tray s
on the grill surface. The accumuting
heat is a source of danger!
Cleaning
Unplug the appliance and let it cool o bef ore
cleaning it.

Clean the small pans and the T eppan Y aki plate /
Natural Stone plate with warm water and some
dishwashing detergen t.
Clean the housing , the cord, and the plug with
a damp cloth, but never immerse them in water .
T o clean the applianc e, use soft cloths or spon-
ges, but never hard pot sponges or st eel wool.
Do not use any abrasives, solvents, pointed ob -
jects or cleaning sprays.

As proof of warranty entitlement you must sub-
mit the original sales receipt with the date of

receipt, the repair will be carried out at your ex-
pense without asking. The warranty does not

Prepar ation for use
Remove all pack aging elements and labels, but
not the rating plate.
Place the grill plate ont o the housing.
Place the appliance on a dry, non-slip, and level
surface.
Before initial use
Clean the grill pla te and the small pla tes under
warm water using a damp cloth and some dish-
washing detergent.
The appliance may star t to smoke when heated
for the rst time. However , the smoke will st op
after a few minutes.
Safety information
CAUTION ! T he grill surface and
the small pans will become very
hot during operation. T his can
cause burns or res! Grab the
small pans only by their heat-
insulated handles!
Never cover the grill sur face with aluminium
foil. Do not plac e pots or pans on the g rill sur -
face, since the heat accumulation can destroy
the non-stick sur face. Never place baking paper
or ammable materials on the grill sur face. The
heat from the grill can cause res. Never set up
the grill in the vicinity of ammable liquids or
materials.
Make sure that the po wer cor d never comes in to
contact with hot sur faces.
Never set up the appliance in the vicinity of
other heat sources (sto ve, gas ame , etc.).
T o prevent r es, make sure to choose a lar-
ge enough sur face to set up the raclette grill.
The clearance to the t op and the sides should
be at least 50 cm. Never place the appliance
against the w all. Never set up the appliance
in the vicinit y of highly ammable objec ts,
such as furnitur e, curtains, et c. The grill emits
a great amoun t of heat. Therefore , do not
place any ammable objec ts or objects pro-
ne to melting in the vicinity of the appliance.
Keep the grill away from heat, direct sunlight,
moisture, and sharp edges . Ne v e r le a v e y o u r g r i l l
unattended during operation.
Please note that the appliance heats up very
quickly, it takes consider able time for it to cool down.
Do not tr ansport the applianc e until it has ful-
ly cooled o . T he T eppan Y aki and the Natural
Stone pla te r est on side metal br ackets. They
become ver y hot during operation! Let the bra-
ckets cool down befor e touching or cleaning.

Y our raclette grill (6425) is equipped with a
non-stick coating , which pr events f ood fr om
sticking and makes cleaning easier . Thanks to
the non-stick coating you will only need little or
no amounts of oil / g rease to pr epare your food.
