BEWARE of hot steam! This device works with hot steam!

Operate the device with caution.

■ The mains plug must be pulled out of the plug socket before the

water reservoir is ﬁ lled with water.

■ The device must always be switched off and disconnected from

the mains power when it is not being used and before assem-

bling, disassembling or cleaning the device.

■ Do not make any modiﬁ cations to the device. If the mains cable

of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manu-

facturer, its customer service department or a similarly qualiﬁ ed

person (e.g. specialist workshop) in order to avoid any hazards.

■ Allow the device to cool down completely before it is cleaned

and stored away.

■ It is essential to follow the instructions in the “Cleaning and Stor-

age” chapter.

DANGER – Danger of Electric Shock from Water

■ Use the device only in closed rooms.

■ Do not use the device in rooms with high humidity.

■ Never immerse the device, mains cable or mains plug in water or other liquids and

ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet.

■ Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not at-

tempt to pull it out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!

■ Never touch the device, mains cable or mains plug with wet hands when these com-

ponents are connected to the mains power.

■ Never direct the steam directly at mains cables or parts containing electrical compo-

nents (such as inside ovens, fridges, at switches and lights, microwave ovens).

■ Never exceed the maximum ﬁ ll level of the water reservoir to prevent overﬂ owing

(note the MAX marking on the water reservoir!).

WARNING – Danger of Electric Shock from Damage and

Inappropriate Use

■ Only connect the device to a socket with safety contacts that is properly installed and

matches the technical data of the device. The socket must also be readily accessible

after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.

■ Always switch off the device ﬁ rst before the mains plug is pulled out of the plug socket.

■ Do not use the device in conjunction with extension cables.

WARNING – Danger of Injury

■ Danger of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the packaging material.

■ Danger of scalding from hot steam!
