Charging Up the Battery

PLEASE NOTE!

■ It is essential that you charge up the battery fully before you ﬁ rst use the de-

vice in order to achieve the maximum charging capacity. If the battery is fully

discharged during use, it must be fully charged up again before it is next used.

• First plug the barrel connector of the mains adapter into the connecting socket (1) on

the motor unit (4) and then connect the mains adapter to a plug socket. The operating

lamp in the On / Oﬀ switch (2) ﬂ ashes. The battery is being charged.

• If the operating lamp is permanently lit, the battery is fully charged.

• First disconnect the mains adapter from the mains power and then disconnect the

barrel connector from the motor unit.

Safety Devices

The device has two safety switches (10, 13). The UV-C lamp (12) only switches on if both

safety switches are pressed into the motor unit (4) (automatic switch-oﬀ function of the

UV-C lamp deactivated). This happens automatically when the device is placed on a ﬂ at

surface. If the safety switches lose contact with the surface below, the automatic switch-

oﬀ function is activated and the UV-C lamp stops being lit (automatic switch-oﬀ function

of the UV-C lamp activated).

Tips and Notes

• Always clean mattresses on both sides.

• We recommend cleaning new mattresses once a month. Older mattresses

should initially be cleaned every day for a week. We then recommend

cleaning them once a month.
