Installation
Ensure that the switch is in the off position (0) and that the unit is
disconnected from the mains supply.
Sugar bowl
Fit the sugar bowl's stem on the unit's shaft. The slit in the stem
must be fi tted so that it sits on the pin in the shaft.
Casing bowl
Place the bowl on the motor-block and then turn it counter
clockwise.
Look to see that it is seated correctly.
Now fi t the transparent bowl on the top.
Operation
Preparation
Have the wooden sticks ready to hand. If you ever have to replace these
later on you can always use “wooden meat skewers“, which you can fi nd
in the household goods department in a large store.
Electrical connection
Ensure that the switch is in the off position (0).
Ensure that the unit's working voltage (see nameplate) is the same
as the mains voltage.
Connect the mains plug to a correctly installed 230V
~
50Hz
shockproof socket.
Use
Switch the switch over to the on position (1) and let he unit run for
5 minutes to pre-heat it without any sugar in it.
Switch the unit off by switching over to the off position (0) and then
wait for the sugar bowl to stop.
Use a measuring spoon to fi ll up with sugar and pour the sugar into
the centre of the bowl.
NOTE
:
You can use either normal household sugar or buy aromatic sugar.
Switch the unit on. The metal bowl will start to turn.
After some minutes, the device starts to spin candyfl oss. Twist the
candyfl oss around the stick. Hold the stick vertically. Rotate the
stick itself and at the same time around the candyfl oss bowl in the
collecting pan.
As soon as you have collected some candyfl oss, hold the stick
horizontally and continue to rotate around the metal dish until there
is no more sugar left.
NOTE
:
Never touch the sugar bowl as this might be damaged during the
process. Never attempt to stop the sugar bowl.
If you cannot produce any more candyfl oss then this means that
there is no more sugar left in the bowl. Switch the unit off.
WARNING!
Never touch the metal bowl as this reaches a very high temperature
when it is being used. Wait until the unit has cooled down completely.
NOTE
:
Caramel will be formed in the metal bowl during use. This is
completely normal and is not a sign of a defective unit.
Cleaning
Always disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket and leave
the unit to cool down before you attempt to clean it.
Never use sharp or scouring cleaning materials.
Casing
Only a moderately damp cloth should be used to clean the outside
of the unit.
Casing bowl, sugar bowl
Remove the casing bowl by turning it clockwise.
Detach the sugar bowl from the shaft.
This accessory must be cleaned using hot water and you might also
have to use a little of detergent.
ATTENTION!
It is absolutely necessary to remove this part from the unit before you
clean it. Water must not be allowed to get into the unit. Never put this
part in a dishwasher.
