Set-up for use
Non-stick coating
Grease the pans and the cooking plates slightly. Insert the pans in the rele-
vant cavities in the bottom plate.
Make the appliance work for about 5 minutes without any food in it to remove
the protective coating (see Using the Appliance). A small amount of smoke is
normal. Please ensure that there is adequate ventilation.
Clean the pans and the baking plate in a rinsing bath once they have cooled
down. Your new unit is now ready for operation.
Using the unit
Place the device on a heat-resistant surface.
1. Cut all the ingredients into small pieces or slices.
2. Lightly grease the baking plate. Please sprinkle salt on the stone slab in order
to prevent searing.
3. Please ensure that the temperature regulator is turned to OFF. Connect the
appliance to a duly installed 230V/50Hz socket with earthing protection. The
left-hand lamp goes on to signal that the device is connected to the mains
power supply.
4. Turn on the machine by moving the regulator clockwise to the desired po-
sition. The right-hand lamp goes on. If necessary, start on a low setting. The
device has reached the correct temperature when the right-hand control lamp
goes off. During operation the control lamp goes on from time to time to show
that the correct temperature is being maintained.
5. Choose the food to be grilled on the cooking plate. In the pans you can put
for example mushrooms or small slices of bread with cheese to cook. To
avoid damaging the non-stick coating, remove the food with a wood spatula.
Warming function
Turn the temperature regulator to the lowest setting. The roasting plate now
serves as a hot plate.
After Use
To switch the device off, rst turn the temperature regulator to OFF and remove
the plug from the socket.
Cleaning
Always pull the plug out of the mains socket and wait until the unit has cooled
down before cleaning the unit.
