Putting into Operation
Before using the appliance for the first time wash the transparent container, the pro-
tective lid and the blade in a sink.
WARNING: handle the blade with caution! DANGER OF INJURY!
1. Place the transparent container on a level and smooth work surface.
2. Mount the blade (facing down) on the metal shaft in the transparent container.
3. Fill the container with the desired ingredients. Do not overfill the container, other-
wise the ingredients may not be chopped thoroughly (see the table with the
quantities)!
4. Place the white protective lid on the transparent container and press it firmly
until you hear it snap into place. Turning the protective lid as you do so will help
to fit it into place!
5. Mount the motor casing. Insert the power cable into a duly installed 230V/50Hz
protective contact outlet.
6. Select one of the two speeds with the switch on the motor casing (see table).
7. Press down with your hand on the motor casing. The appliance is switched on.
A pulsating motion can be obtained by pressing and releasing the motor casing
continuously. Use the appliance only for a maximum of 3 minutes. Before using it
again leave it to cool for at least 2 minutes!
8. After chopping release the motor casing. Pull out the plug from the outlet.
9. Take the motor casing off the transparent container.
10.Take the protective lid off and remove the blade carefully. DANGER OF INJURY!
11. Now you can remove the contents from the transparent container.
Of course, you can chop also other foods that are not specified herein. In order to
determine the maximum time for a type of food that is not specified herein, compa-
re it with the hardness of another type of food provided in the table, i.e. an Apple
has the same insistence of onion. In this case, refer to the indications in the table
for "onion".
Cleaning and Maintenance
• Make sure that the plug is pulled out of the outlet after use and before cleaning!
• Clean the motor casing with a dry cloth without detergents.
• The transparent container, the protective lid and the blade are to be cleaned in a
normal sink. WARNING: do not dip the motor unit in water. Use any commerci-
al detergent to wash the parts. WARNING: handle the blade with care! DAN-
GER OF INJURY!
• Dry all parts with a dry towel after washing.
• Do not wash in a dishwasher!
• When putting the appliance away, wind the cable, put all the parts together and
fit the motor casing into place.
