Using the Scales
The kitchen balance was developed to display the weight of food
and ingredients.
Switching On
• Place the scales on a at, smooth surface.
• Press the button.
• All segments are briey illuminated in the display followed by
“0” and “0.0”.
Weighing
• Use the UNIT button to select the desired unit of measure-
ment: “g”, “lb”, “oz” or “kg”.
• Wait until the symbol indicates that the scales are ready
to weigh.
• Place the goods you want to weigh at the middle centre of
the scales. The symbol conrms that the measuring
result is ready.
Tare Function
If you would like to add a further ingredient to the rst ingredient
and then weigh it:
• Press the TARE button briey. The symbol indicates that
the unit is in Tare mode.
• The scales are reset to “0”. Wait until the symbol indi-
cates that the scales are ready to weigh.
• If you now place further ingredients on the scales their
weight is displayed.
Switching Off
If you would like to turn the scales off, keep the button
pressed down fur approximately one second.
NOTE:
With the automatic switch-off the scales turn off automatically
after approximately 85 seconds.
Storage
Keep the appliance in a clean, dry place.
Cleaning
CAUTION:
• Do not immerse the appliance in water: the electronic
components can be damaged.
• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
• Clean the device with a slightly moist cloth. Make sure that
no humidity or waters seeps into the device!
• Dry the device well after cleaning with a dry and soft cloth.

Disposal of batteries
Your appliance contains batteries. If these batteries are spent,
follow the instructions below:

Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with
household waste!
• The batteries must be removed from the appliance.
• Take spent batteries to the appropriate collection point or to
a dealer.
• Your town or local authority can provide information about
public collection points.
