Then re-tighten the seal. We recommend rinsing out the
water tank approximately 3 times with fresh water.
Do not fi ll battery water, water from the clothes dryer and
water containing additives (such as starch, perfume,
softener or other chemicals) into the water reservoir. This
could damage the iron due to residues forming in the steam
chamber. These residues may cause impurities to the fabric
when dropping out of the holes in the soleplate.
Connected Wattage
The station has a total maximum wattage of 2000 W. With this
connected load a separate supply line protected by a 16 A
household circuit breaker is recommended.
CAUTION:
Warning - Danger of Overload! Do not use any extension
leads or multiple sockets as this device is too powerful.
Using the Machine
Ironing without steam
1. Sort out the garments according to their ironing tempera-
tures.
2. Always set the temperature control to „MIN“ before connec-
ting the appliance to a power point, or before disconnecting
it.
3. Electrical connection:
Make sure that the iron voltage (see name plate) and
the line voltage match.
Only connect the machine to a properly installed safety
socket, 230 V/50 Hz.
4. Start with the lower temperatures. It is set with the thermo-
stat (1):
Synthetics, silk low temperature
• • Wool medium temperature
• • • Cotton, linen high temperature
MAX maximum temperature
5. Place the iron on its stand.
6. The control lamp on the handle of the iron shows that it
is heating up. As soon as the control lamp goes off the
operating temperature has been reached. Now you can start
ironing. Always turn the temperature control to MIN after use
and remove the mains plug (the control lamp in the handle
goes off).
Steam Ironing
For this a high temperature is needed.
1. Turn the temperature control (1) to position „• • •“ (cotton,
linen).
2. Turn the O/I operating switch (10) on the station to position
I. The control lamp in the switch shows that it is on standby.
When the control lamp (5) lights up there is enough steam
for steam operation.
WARNING:
The steam is hot! There is a danger of scalding!
3. With the steam jet button „
“ you can create a short and
powerful jet of steam.
How can I replenish the water during operation?
If the pressure falls during operation you can fi ll more water into
the tank at the same time.
1. First turn operating switch to O (The lamp in the I/O switch
goes off).
2.
ޥ NOTE:
If there is still some residual pressure in the water tank, a
safety lock prevents the water tank catch (7) from being
opened.
WARNING:
The residual pressure fi rst has to be relieved before
the device can be safely opened.
3. With the steam jet button „
“ you can now release the
residual steam pressure. If no more steam comes out of the
soleplate, please remove the plug and release the water
tank lock (7) carefully.
WARNING:
The steam is hot! There is a danger of scalding!
ޥ NOTE:
If it is not yet possible to open the lock of the water tank
the device needs a further 2 to 3 minutes to cool down.
Then release the residual pressure again.
4. Use the funnel (12) to fi ll pure distilled water from a measu-
ring beaker into the water tank. Do not overfi ll! Take care of
water splashes that might come out of the boiler. In order to
prevent the water from splashing it should be fi lled into the
funnel slowly after the safety lock has been opened.
5. Fasten the safety lock again.
6. Insert the power plug back into the socket.
7. Always turn the temperature control to MIN after use, turn
the operating switch (10) to O and remove the mains plug
from the socket (the lamp in the I/O switch goes off).
WARNING:
Never open the water tank lock while the device is being
operated.
When ironing at low temperatures, please ensure that you do
not use any steam.
Vertical Steam
This can be used to produce a jet of steam in a vertical direction.
Self-Cleaning
Due to the large amount of heat produced and the pressure
of the steam, residues that form in the soleplate are removed
automatically.
