Wie schließe ich USB-Netzwerkgeräte an?
Hinweis: Prüfen Sie nach, ob Sie die USB-Treiber auf Ihrem PC installiert haben,
bevor Sie mit diesen Anweisungen fortfahren. Siehe „Wie installiere ich USB-
Treiber?“ (auf Seite 28) bzgl. Informationen zur Installation von USB-Treibern.
92 Wählen Sie die Aufstellungsorte für die USB-Netzwerkgeräte. Für weitere
Informationen siehe „Wie wähle und platziere ich USB-Netzwerkgeräte?“ (auf
Seite 36).
93 Verbinden Sie den USB-Port Ihres Kabelmodems mit Ihrem Computer.
94 Verbinden Sie ein oder mehr USB-Netzwerkgeräte mit dem Kabelmodem.
Hinw: Wenn Sie mehr als ein USB-Netzwerkgerät mit dem Kabelmodem oder
Ihrem Computer verbinden wollen, müssen Sie einen USB-Hub kaufen und
installieren.
95 Verbinden Sie das aktive HF-Koaxialkabel mit dem CABLE-Konnektor auf der
Rückseite des Kabelmodems. Benutzen Sie einen optionalen Kabelsignalsplitter,
wenn Sie außerdem ein Fernsehgerät, ein DHCT, einen Decoder oder einen
Videorekorder anschließen möchten.
96 Nachdem die Verbindungen hergestellt sind, stecken Sie das Wechselstromkabel
in den POWER-Konnektor auf der Rückseite des Kabelmodems und den Stecker
in eine Wechselstromsteckdose.
97 Das Kabelmodem nimmt automatisch eine Suche vor, um das Netzwerk zu
lokalisieren und sich darin anzumelden. Dies kann bis zu 5 Minuten dauern. Das
Kabelmodem ist betriebsbereit, wenn der LED-Statusindikator ONLINE auf der
Vorderseite zu blinken aufhört und ständig leuchtet.
98 Kontrollieren Sie, dass alle USB-Netzwerkgeräte ordnungsgemäß funktionieren.
Hinweis: Sie können die LED-Statusanzeige auf der Vorderseite des
Kabelmodems erst dann überprüfen, wenn zumindest ein USB-Netzwerkgerät
angeschlossen ist und auf dem Netzwerk arbeitet.
