Step 3 When it rings on the other end, press Transf again. Or, when the party answers,
announce the call and then press Transf. (This is a consult transfer.)
Step 4 If you are using a handset, hang up.
If the party refuses the call, press the Resume softkey to return to the original call.
Directly Transferring Your Calls
Direct Transfer provides another way to transfer a call. Use this feature with the
DirTrfr softkey to join two established calls into one call and then immediately
drop yourself from the call (no consult transfer). An established call is a
call-on-hold or an active (connected) call.
When you use direct transfer, you must select two calls on the same shared line
appearance.
Scenarios for Directly Transferring Your Calls
You can use direct transfer to join calls in three scenarios:
To join a call-on-hold with another call-on-hold
To join a call-on-hold with a connected call
To join two calls that are on hold with a connected call
You cannot use direct transfer to:
Join more than two calls.
Join two ad hoc conference calls.
Join an ad hoc conference call and a barged call.
Using Direct Transfer to Join a Call-on-Hold with Another Call-on-Hold
