2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual
for future reference or new users.
• Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the
appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.
• Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of
danger.
• This appliance is for household use only.
• Do not cover the air inlet or outlet openings while the appliance is operating.
• Unplug the product while not in use and before cleaning or maintenance.
• Do not pull from the power cord to unplug or move the product.
• Avoid the use of an extension cord as this may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
• Don’t use the product in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming
pool. Keep the heater away from water and other liquids.
• Keep the product away from flammable materials, surfaces or substances such as
curtains or furniture in order to avoid fire hazard.
• Do not insert any object through the product’s heat outlet or air intake.
• Remove any flammable materials (e.g., petrol, solvents, spray canisters etc.) or other
easy combustible materials (e.g., wood or paper) from the room where the appliance is
placed in order to avoid risk of fire.
• The appliance is not intended to be used by children under the age of 8. It can be used by
children over the age of 8, as long as they are given continuous supervision.
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, as long as
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Supervise young children to make sure that they do not play with the appliance. Close
supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by or near children.
3. BEFORE USE
WARNING: a slight odour and smoke might appear when heating the device for the first
time. This is due to manufacturing materials residues and does not affect the appliance’s
operating.
• Take the product out of its box and remove any packaging materials.
• Place the heater on a flat surface and away from flammable objects.
