Managing Your Mobile Phone
To configure your mobile phone, press > Settings ( ).
Setting the Date and Time
When you turn on the phone for the first time, you will be asked if you want the time and date
to update automatically using the time provided by the network.
Note:
When the time provided by the network is automatically used, you cannot set the date, time, and time
zone.
1. On the Settings screen, select Date & time.
2. Clear the Automatic date & time tickbox.
3. Clear the Automatic time zone tickbox.
4. Select Set date. On the set date screen, select the desired field, and then scroll up or down to
set the date. Select Done when the configuration is complete.
5. Select Set time. On the set time screen, select the desired field, and then scroll up or down
to set the time. Select Done when the configuration is complete.
6. Select Select time zone, and then select the desired time zone from the list. Scroll down the
list to view more time zones.
7. Select or clear the Use 24-hour format tickbox to switch between 24-hour format and 12-
hour format.
8. Select Choose date format to select how you want the date to be displayed on your mobile
phone.
Setting the Display
Adjusting the Screen Brightness
1. On the Settings screen, select Display > Brightness.
2. Drag the slider to the left to make the screen darker, or to the right to make it brighter.
3. Once you lift your finger off the slider, your settings will be saved automatically.
Note:
Select AUTO to enable the device to automatically adjust the brightness of the screen depending on
the surrounding light.
Auto-rotate screen
Tick this box to enable the display to rotate when you turn the phone between landscape and
portrait.
