Houd een losse, ontspannen greep
op het stuur.
Stuur de Carver beheerst.
Om deze reden, doe nooit het volgende:
Stevig vasthouden aan het stuur
of te veel druk erop zetten.
Abrupte of felle stuurbewegingen
maken.
De juiste reactie van de bestuurder moet
vergelijkbaar zijn met die in een normale
auto:
Laat het gaspedaal los.
Houd het stuur zoals gewoonlijk
voorzichtig vast en corrigeer de
stuurhoek voorzichtig.
►> U zult dit merken wanneer de
grip terugkeert naar het voorwiel,
waardoor de Carver goed de bocht
kan nemen
Doe nooit het volgende:
Rem agressief of fel.
> Dit kan ertoe leiden dat het
voorwiel blokkeert, waardoor u de
controle kunt verliezen.
Stevig vasthouden aan het stuur
en het in een bepaalde positie
houden.
> De Carver corrigeert zichzelf al
en door het stuur te stevig vast te
houden krijgt de Carver de kans
niet om zichzelf onder controle te
krijgen.
3.3.1 Vermijd abrupte stuurbewegingen
De Carver reageert zeer snel op elke
stuurbeweging.
Krachtige stuurbewegingen vragen een
scherpe reactie van de Carver met betrekking
tot het kantelen van de cockpit.
Conclusie: Leid de Carver voorzichtig.
Leer het kantelmechanisme te vertrouwen en
onthoud: het enige dat u hoeft te doen, is in
de gewenste richting ‘sturen’.
3.3.2 Stuur voorzichtig om het onderstuur te
corrigeren
Omdat je geen g-krachten waarneemt, kun
je als onervaren bestuurder de snelheid en
versnelling waarmee je een bocht neemt
onderschatten. De bestuurbaarheid van de
Carver is echter aan beperkingen onderhevig.
Tijdens onderstuur verliest het voorwiel
grip en heeft het de neiging om ‘rechtdoor te
gaan’. De straal van de bocht neemt dus toe.
De Carver blijft in balans door de kantelhoek
van de cockpit automatisch aan te passen.
