Refrigerant line connection
(Flare connnections)
Collegamento linea refrigerante
(attacchi a cartella)
To mantain correct unit performance,
ensure that the line length and the number
of bends are kept to a minimum. Prevent
kinking by using large radius curves. The
outdoor units leave the factory with an
adequate refrigerant charge.
IMPORTANT: Always use refrigeration-
grade deoxidized and dehydrated
copper tubing.
Before connecting the refrigerant lines,
carefully follow the steps below:
Select the diameter for the copper tubing
according to the units to be installed.
Position the refrigerant lines making sure
that no foreign matter can enter the
copper tubing.
Screw the flared nuts (condensing
units) and (evaporating units) onto
copper tubing with the corresponding line
diameter.
Flare the copper tubing.
Screw nuts and into their
corresponding positions.

Connection 1/4" 14.7 Nm
Connection 3/8" 24.5 Nm
Connection 1/2" 34.3 Nm
Remove nut . Connect a vacuum pump
to the pressure inlet in order to evacuate
and dehydrate the connection lines and
the evaporator. This operation will last at
least 15 minutes.
Disconnect the vacuum pump.
If the refrigerant lines are shorter than 4
m, remove nut and open the valve
completely with an ALLEN wrench (the
valve is closed before leaving the factory).
It is not necessary to add refrigerant.
If the refrigerant lines are longer than 4
m, charge them with R-22 via the same
pressure inlet. The quantity of refrigerant
should be that appropriate to each case.

Per ottenere la massima efficienza assicurarsi
che la lunghezza delle tubazioni ed il numero di
curve sia ridotto al minimo indispensabile.
Evitare eventuali strozzature utilizzando curve
ad ampio raggio. Le unità sono fornite con
un’adeguata quantità di refrigerante.
IMPORTANTE: Utilizzare sempre tubi di
rame isolato del tipo senza saldature,
sgrassato, disossidato e deidratato adatto
Avvitare i bocchettoni e nelle posizioni
corrispondenti.

Rimuovere il bocchettone . Collegare la
pompa del vuoto alla presa di pressione in
modo da aspirare e deidratare le linee di
collegamento e l’evaporatore. Questa
operazione durerà almeno 15 minuti.
Scollegare la pompa del vuoto. Se le
tubazioni di collegamento misurano meno di
quattro metri, rimuovere il bocchettone e
aprire completamente la valvola con una
chiave esagonale a brugola (la valvola è
fornita chiusa). Non è necessario aggiungere
fluido refrigerante. Se le tubazioni di collega-
mento misurano più di quattro metri caricare
le linee del refrigerante con R22 tramite la
presa di pressione. Si consiglia di utilizzare
quantità e tipo di refrigerante adeguati al
caso.
