Congratulations on purchasing a Carrera RC model boat,
manufactured in accordance with the lat est technology . As it
is our constant endeavour to de velop and improv e our prod-
ucts, we r eser v e the right to make modifications, either of a
technical nature or with respect to features, materials, and
design, at any time, and without prior notice. For this reason,
no claims will be accep ted for an y slight deviations in y our
product from the data and illustrations contained in these
instructions. These operating and assembly instructions are
an integral part of the product. Non-observance of these op-
erating instructions and the safety ins tructions they contain
will render the guarantee null and void. These instructions
are t o be kept f or futur e reference and in the ev ent that the
product is passed on to a third party.
Guarantee conditions
Carrera products are technically adv anced products (NO
TO YS) which should be handled with care. It is important
to follow the directions given in the operating instructions.
All components have been subjected to careful inspection
(technical modifications and alterations t o the model f or the
purpose of product improv ement are reserved).
Should any f aults nev ertheless occur, guar antee is as-
sumed within the scope of the following conditions:
The guarantee covers demonstrable material or manufactur -
ing def ects that existed at the time that the Carrera pr oduct
was purchased. The guarantee period is 2 4 months begin-
ning with the date of purchase. The guarantee does not
extend to wearing parts (suc h as Carrera RC rechargeable
batteries, antennas, tyres, gearbox components etc.), dam-
age caused b y improper tr eatment or use, or unauthorised
intervention. Repair may only be per f ormed by Stadlbauer
Marketing + V er trieb GmbH itself or by a company it has
authorised to do so. Within the scope of this guarantee,
either the pr oduct as a whole or only the def ective compo-
nents will be r eplaced or equivalent subs titution performed,
as deemed appropriate by S tadlbauer Marketing + V ertrieb
GmbH The guarantee does no t cover transport, packaging
or trav el costs or any damage f or which the buyer is respon-
sible. These costs are to be covered by the buy er . Guarantee
claims will only be accept ed from the original purchaser of
the Carrera product.

• The card has been filled in properly and sent in together
with the defective Carrera product and the purchase re-
ceipt/invoice/cash-r egister receipt.
• No unauthorised alterations have been made by the buy er
to the guarantee card.
• The toy has been tr eated in accordance with the operating
instructions and subjected to its intended use.
• The damage/faulty operation is not due to acts of God or
normal wear and tear .
Guarantee cards canno t b e replaced.
Note for EU countries:
Reference is hereby made to the
seller’s statutory guarantee obligation, to the extent that this
guarantee obligation is not restrict ed by the product guarant ee.

Stadlbauer Marketing + Vertrieb GmbH hereby declares
that this model including the controller conforms with the
fundamental requir ements of the following EC directives:
EC Dir ectives 2009/48 and 200 4/1 08/E C regarding electr o-
magnetic com patibility and the other r elevant r egulations of
Directive 1 999/5/EC (R&TTE).

is only suitable for young people over 1 4 years of age.
This model is not intended for use by children, unless they
are supervised by a responsible adult. Inappropriate use
may result in sev ere injuries and/or damage to proper ty . It
has to be operated with car e and caution and requires both
mechanical and mental skills. The operating instructions
contain notes on saf ety and technical regulations as well as
information on maintaining and operating the product. It is
indispensable to read these instructions thoroughly before
the firs t usage. Only this helps to avoid accidents with inju-

able battery packs, equipment batteries, disused electri-
cal equipment, etc. should not be disposed of in domestic
refuse, as the y are harmful t o the environment and health.
Please help to preserve environment and health and talk
to your children about the correct disposal of used batter-
ies and disused electrical equipment. Batteries and disused
electrical equipment should be handed in to the usual collec-
tion points wher e the y can be properly recycled. Do no t mix
dissimilar batter y types or employ new and used batteries
together . Empty batt eries should be removed from the prod-
uct. Do no t att empt to r echarge non-r echargeable batt eries.
Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged by adults. Ex-
hausted batteries ar e to be removed from the t oy . Recharge-
able batteries should be removed from the product before
charging. Supply terminal are not to be short-circuited. Only
use the batteries recommended or equivalent t ypes. If in
regular use the charger mus t be examined for damage to the
cord, plug, covers and all other par ts. If any signs of damage
are found the charger ma y only be used again af t er repair
work has been completed.

Safety instructions

A Carrera RC boat is a r emote controlled model
boat that uses special rechargeable batteries f or
this purpose.
Only original Carrera RC Li-Ion rechargeable bat-
teries may be used. Rechargeable batteries ar e t o
be remov ed from the boat before being charged.

When starting, alwa ys switch on the boat first,
then the controller .

Do not run your boat during a thunderstorm! At-
mospheric interference can lead to malfunctions.

Do not expose the Carrera RC boat to direct sun-
light. T o av oid the electronics in the boat overheat-
ing, when temperatures are above 35 °C, regular
short pauses in operation are essential

Handle the tip of the antenna with care. Danger of
injury!

Never use s trong solvents for cleaning y our model.

Plea se c lean t he wat er sen sor c ontac ts re gular ly
with tap wa ter and a little vinegar - ba sed cleaner .

T o avoid malfunctions to the control system result-
ing in uncontrolled operation of the Carrera RC
boat, check that the controller batteries and the
rechargeable batt eries in the boat ha ve sufficient
charge. Supply terminals are not to be shor t-cir -
cuited.

The Carrera RC boat must be inspected before
and after operation, each time it is used, t o ensure
that it has not become disassembled. An y screws
or nuts that may have become loosened during
operation must be tightened.

Safety propeller
The propeller switches off on being taken out of
the water .
Please note par ticularl y that the propellers have
no function out of the water .

The boat is to be oper ated in water only when fully
assembled.
Please ensure your remote control batteries have
the required capacity and make sure the LI-Ion
power pack is fully charged.

Be sure not to allow the propeller or the rudder
to touch the bed of the water .
If this is allowed t o happen it ma y lead to per ma-
nent damage and se verely affect the manoeuvr a-
bility and speed of the boat.
If necessary , change the propeller f or the replace-
ment propeller .
