Directions for use of ACCESS COOLER English
3
Congratulations !
Congratulations with your new Access Cooler, which is one of the
most advanced impulse coolers in the market. In order to make
sure that you will get the utmost benefit of the cooler, we
recommend that you read this operation direction carefully before
putting the cooler to use.
Should you afterwards have questions, then please contact your
agent, who will be able to guide you.
Unpacking
Immediately upon receipt of the cooler you should make sure that
the cooler has no damage in connection to the transportation.
Transportation damages must be complained to the forwarder
within 24 after receipt of the cooler. The cooler has to be
transported in a vertical position and should also be unpacked in
an upright position.
Putting to use
The cooler is to be levelled onto a flat-face foundation. The cooler
is to be placed in dry environments with an ambient temperature of
max. +30°C and a relative air humidity of not more than 55%.
Avoid placing directly close to heat sources and also not in direct
sunlight. Make sure that there is free and unimpeded circulation of
air around the cooler, but the cooler must still not be exposed to
directly draught.
Prior to use the interior of the cooler should be cleaned with tepid
water. You are not allowed to use detergent soaps, scouring
powder or solvents.
The cooler is to be connected to the correct mains voltage. This
can be seen from the rating place, which is placed inside the
cooled compartment of the cooler. Do not connect the cooler until
the cooler seems to have reached the ambient temperature of the
room. Please be aware of the fact that it takes 2 hours before the
cooler is cold and ready to be loaded with goods.
Using
The cooler is designed for exposure and impulse buying of pre-
cooled soft drinks in the retail trade. The cooler is dimensioned as
a conservator and as such it is less appropriated for chilling. Make
sure that the goods in the cooler are placed in a way that the
necessary air-condition in the cooler is not prevented.
Do never stack the goods higher than the fan grill at the back of
the cooler!!!
Make sure that the airflow in the front part of the cooler is free of
goods and/or foreign bodies.
The cooler may be used for run exposure.
Extra protection
Your freezer or refrigerator, for commercial or private use, requires
extra protection for your safety. If your premises have earthed
electrical installations, the wall sockets will have facilities for a
three-pole plug. Make sure that the green/yellow-coloured wire is
connected to the earthing pin.
If your installation is not earthed you must install a ground fault
circuit interrupter switch. Otherwise ask your local certified
electrician how to establish this extra protection.
Warning concerning upright coolers / chest freezers
containing flammable refrigerants:
Keep the cabinet’s vent holes free and ensure free ventilation
around the whole cabinet.
Do not try to accelerate defrosting by means of scraper,
screwdriver, hair dryer or the like.
The refrigeration unit must not be damaged.
Do not use electrical appliances in the refrigerated
compartment or in the compressor Compartment.
Mode of action
The air is circulated internally in the cooler by a vent. In this way
the air is directed through an evaporator in which the air is cooled.
The air humidity contained by the air is placed onto the evaporator
in the shape of ice. This ice must be removed on a regular basis,
when the control of the cooler stops the cooling but at the same
time allows the internal air circulation to continue. As such the air
in the cooler is used to increase the temperature of the evaporator
above freezing level and as such melts the ice, which has settled
onto the evaporator. The melted ice is led from there to the
compressor compartment, where the water is re-evaporating –
however, now outside the cooler.
When the control detects that the evaporator is cleaned from ice
the cooling will restart automatically.
Operation
If your cooler is supplied by a light canopy it will be switched on/off
by a switch, which is placed in the gable of the light canopy. The
temperature of the cooler should be adjusted in the control placed
at the bottom at the backside of the cooler. There you can also
read the temperature of the cooler. Printing the arrow key up or
down respectively in order to increase or slow-down can change
the temperature the temperature respectively. When you have set
the requested temperature you should print shortly on the button
marked “SET”.
Defrosting frequency is set from the side of the factory and should
not be changed.
Service
The condenser, which is placed behind the air inlet at the lower
end of the cooler, must be cleaned on a regular basis, depending
of the dust in the room where the cooler is placed. However, this
must be done once every third month.
