A) FOR YOUR SAFETY
- Do not store or use petrol and other flammable materials and sub-
tances in the vicinity of this barbecue. If you smell gas :
1) Close the cylinder valve.
2) Extinguish all naked flames
3) Open the lid
4) If the smell continues, see F or immediately seek advice from your
local retailer.
- Do not obstruct the hole in the bottom of the base.
B) LOCATION
- This barbecue must only be used outdoors.
- CAUTION : accessible parts may get very hot. Keep young children
away.
- There should be no combustible materials within a radius of approxi-
mately 60 cm around the barbecue
- Do not move the barbecue when alight.
- The appliance should be operated on a level surface.
- Estimated air off-take 2 m

/kW/h.
C) GAS CYLINDER
- This barbecue has been adjusted to be operate off 4,5 to 15 kg
butane/propane cylinders with an appropriate low pressure regulator
(butane 28 mbar / propane 37 mbar).
- When connecting or replacing the bottle, make sure you are working in
a well ventilated environment and never in the presence of a naked
flame, spark, or heat source.
D) HOSE
France (depending on model):
The unit is equipped with a G1/2 threaded inlet coupling. A circular
connector and rubber gasket are also supplied for the butane/propane
bottle.
Depending on the construction of your regulator, follow these instruc-
tions:
1) F
or regulators equipped with an M20 x 1.5 threaded outlet: Use
reinforced flexible tubing that complies with the XP D 36-112 standard.
Screw the G1/2 tubing coupling onto the connector on the barbecue.
Screw the M20 x 1.5 threaded connector onto the regulator outlet. Test
the seal with gas leak solution.
2) F
or regulators equipped with a circular coupling: Use a connector
assembly (flexible tubing + collars) that complies with the XP D 36-110
standard. Screw the circular coupling supplied with the unit to the threa-
ded connector, inserting the rubber gasket between them. When the
gasket is in contact with the connector, tighten approximately one half
turn.
Connect the flexible tubing to the coupling on the barbecue and the
connector on the regulator by following the instructions supplied with the
connector assembly (couplings).
Test the seal with gas leak solution.
Make sure the flexible tubing is not twisted or under stress, and does not
come into contact with any hot surfaces on the unit. The length of the
tubing should not exceed 1.25 metres and should be changed by the
expiration date printed on the tubing or whenever it is damaged or crac-
ked.
Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Ireland,
Poland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland,
Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Czech Republic:
The barbecue is equipped with a circular connector. It should be used
with flexible tubing that is suitable for use with butane and propane gas.
Hose UK length should not exceed 1.20 meters and should be changed
whenever it is damaged or cracked. Do not pull or pierce the hose BS
3212 UK. Keep away from any parts of the barbecue that get hot.
Switzerland, Germany, Austria:
The barbecue should be used with flexible tubing that is suitable for use
with butane and propane gas. Tubing length should not exceed 1.50
metres and should be changed whenever it is damaged or cracked. Do
not pull or pierce the tubing. Keep away from any parts of the barbecue
that get hot.
Flexible tubing connection. To connect the tubing to the connector on the
barbecue, tighten the nut on the tubing firmly but without excess force
using the two wrenches provided:
- no. 14 wrench to tighten the connector
- no. 17 wrench to tighten the nut on the tubing
E) LID
Handle the lid carefully, especially during operation. Do not lean over
the base.
F) CHECKING FOR GAS LEAKS
1) Work outside, away from all sources of ignition. Do not smoke.
2) Make sure the control knobs are in the “OFF” ( ) position.
3) Push the end of the hose completely onto the regulator nozzle and
secure with a suitable clip.
4) Fit the regulator onto the gas cylinder in accordance with its instruc-
tions.
5) Use a gas leak solution to test for leaks. IMPORTANT: never use a
naked flame to check for gas leaks.
6) Apply the solution to the connections cylinder/regulator/hose/appara-
tus (the control knobs should remain closed: OFF position). Open the
gas cylinder valve.
7) Bubbles in the gas leak solution indicate that there are gas leaks.
8) The leak can be stopped by tightening any hose connection or replac-
ing any faulty component. The barbecue must not be used until the
leak is stopped.
9) Close the valve on the gas cylinder. Check for leaks at least once per
year and each time the gas cylinder is replaced.
G) PRIOR TO USE
Never use the barbecue until the instructions have been read carefully
and understood. Also, make certain that :
- there are no leaks
- the Venturi tubes are not blocked
- the hose does not touch any components which may get hot.
H) LIGHTING THE GRILL BURNERS
Never light the barbecue with the lid closed, only with the lid open.
Read steps 1 to 6 before beginning with step 1.
1) Make sure the 2 control knobs are in the “OFF” ( ) position.
2) Push the end of the hose completely onto the regulator nozzle and
secure with a suitable clip. Fit the regulator onto the gas cylinder in
accordance with its instructions.
3) Open the gas cylinder valve.
4) Press one of the 2 control knobs and turn it to the FULL FLAME ( )
position. Wait about 5 seconds, then press the igniter button ( )
until you hear the click. Repeat 3 or 4 times if necessary until the bur-
ner is lit.
5) If the burner fails to light, turn the control knob to the “OFF” position
( ). Wait 5 minutes before repeating the operation.
6) Proceed in the same manner, by repeating steps 4 and 5, to light the
second burner.
IMPORTANT : If the burner fails to light after the 2
nd
attempt, turn the
control knob to the “OFF” position ( ) and check that the burner out-
lets and Venturi tubes are not blocked.
7) You can also light both burners at the same time. Turn the two control
knobs to the FULL FLAME position ( ). Wait about 5 seconds and
then press the igniter button until you hear the click. If both burners
do not light on the first click, press the igniter button 3 or 4 times, as
necessary.
I) LIGHTING THE GRILL BURNERS MANUALLY
If the automatic ignition should fail to operate, turn the control knob to
the “OFF” position ( ) and wait 5 minutes. Remove the cooking grill so
as to obtain access to the surface of the burners. Turn a control knob to
the FULL FLAME position. Wait about 5 seconds and then place a bur-
ning match by the corresponding burner.
Proceed in the same manner for the other burner.
J) TO EXTINGUISH THE GRILL BURNERS
Return the control knobs to the “OFF” position ( ), then close the cylin-
der valve.
K) TO TURN ON THE SIDE BURNER (depending on
model)
The side burner can be used on its own or along with the grill.
Lighting : turn on the gas cylinder valve;
Check gas flow circuit for leaks from the cylinder to the side bur-
ner (see § F).
Press down and turn the side burner control handle to the FULL FLOW
position ( ). Press down the corresponding lighting knob ( ) until
you hear it click. Press 3 or 4 times if necessary. f it fails to light, bring
a match near the burner.
Adjust the flame to the size of the container by using the 2 flow posi-
tions: FULL FLOW ( ) or REDUCED FLOW ( ).

Do not use charcoal as a substitute for, or in addition to, ceramic briquettes.
Do not use an adjustable low pressure regulator.
Do not cover the bottom of the base with aluminium foil.
Never put a metal plate, that has neither been designed nor recommended by CAMPINGAZ, on (or in the place of) the ceramic briquettes.
Regularly clean the bottom of the base in order to avoid any risk of grease inflammation.
Regularly change the ceramic briquettes (every 10 uses approx.) or clean them regularly in order to avoid any risk of grease inflammation.
FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY TO AVOID SERIOUSLY DAMAGING YOUR BARBECUE.
