Do not use charcoal as a substitute for, or in addition to, lava rock.
Do not use an adjustable low pressure regulator.
Do not cover the bottom of the base with aluminium foil.
Never put a metal plate, that has neither been designed nor recommended by CAMPINGAZ,
on (or in the place of ) the lava rocks.
Follow these instructions carefully to avoid seriously damaging your barbecue.
Operation and maintenance
2) For regulators equipped with a circular coupling
:
Use a connector assembly (flexible tubing + collars) that
complies with the XP D 36-110 standard. Screw the circular
coupling supplied with the unit to the threaded connector,
inserting the rubber gasket between them.When the gasket is
in contact with the connector, tighten approximately one half
turn.
Connect the flexible tubing to the coupling on the barbecue
and the connector on the regulator by following the
instructions supplied with the connector assembly (couplings).
Test the seal with gas leak solution.
Make sure the flexible tubing is not twisted or under stress, and
does not come into contact with any hot surfaces on the unit.
The length of the tubing should not exceed 1.25 meters and
should be changed by the expiration date printed on the tubing
or whenever it is damaged or cracked.
Belgium, Luxembourg, United Kingdom, Ireland,
Portugal, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Netherlands,
Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Norway,
Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Bulgaria, Turkey,
Romania, Poland:
The barbecue is equipped with a circular connector. It should
be used with flexible hose UK that is suitable for use with
butane and propane gas. hose UK length should not exceed
1.20 meters and should be changed whenever it is damaged or
cracked. Do not pull or pierce the hose UK. Keep away from
any parts of the barbecue that get hot. Check that the flexible
hose stretches out normally, without twisting or pulling.
Switzerland, Germany, Austria:
The barbecue should be used with flexible tubing that is
suitable for use with butane and propane gas. Tubing length
should not exceed 1.50 meters and should be changed
whenever it is damaged or cracked. Do not pull or pierce the
tubing. Keep away from any parts of the barbecue that get hot.
Check that the flexible hose stretches out normally, without
twisting or pulling.
Flexible tubing connection: To connect the tubing to the
connector on the barbecue, tighten the nut on the tubing firmly
but without excess force using the two wrenches provided:
- no. 10 wrench to tighten the
connector
- no. 17 wrench to tighten the
nut on the tubing
a) For your safety
- Do not store or use petrol and other flammable liquids or
vapours in the vicinity of this barbecue. If you smell gas:
1) Close the valve of the cylinder
2) Extinguish all naked flames
3) Open the lid
4) If the smell continues , see F or immediately seek advice
from your local retailer.
b) Location
- This barbecue must only be used outdoors.
- Caution: accessible parts may get very hot. Keep young
children away.
- There should be no combustible materials within a radius of
approximately 60 cm around the barbecue
- Do not move the barbecue when alight.
- The appliance should be operated on a level surface.
- Estimated air offtake 2 m

/kW/h.
c) Gas cylinder
- This barbecue has been adjusted to be operate off 4,5 to 15
kg butane/propane cylinders with an appropriate low pressure
regulator.
- France, Belgium, Luxembourg, United Kingdom,
Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Greece:
butane 28-30 mbar / propane 37 mbar.
- Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary,
Slovenia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland,
Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania: butane 30
mbar / propane 30 mbar.
- Poland: propane 37 mbar.
- Germany, Austria: butane / propane 50 mbar.
- Always connect or replace the cylinder in a well-ventilated
area, never in the presence of a flame, spark or heat source.
d) Hose
France (depending on model):
The unit is equipped with a G1/2 threaded inlet coupling. A
circular connector and rubber gasket are also supplied for the
butane/propane bottle.
Depending on the construction of your regulator, follow these
instructions:
1) For regulators equipped with an M20 x 1.5 threaded
outlet:
Use reinforced flexible tubing
that complies with the XP D
36-112 standard. Screw the
G1/2 tubing coupling onto the
connector on the barbecue.
Screw the M20 x 1.5 threaded
connector onto the regulator
outlet. Test the seal with gas
leak solution.
