KP10 monteres på væggen ved at fastgøre den i en almindelig enkelt samledåse, type USA
(bagboks). Alle "udskæringer" i bagboksen skal fjernes af hensyn til maksimal ventilation.
Hvis man vil placere en netkontakt osv. ved siden af et kontrolpanel, skal der bruges en
spærreboks eller to enkeltbagbokse (vær opmærksom på, at det ikke er en god ide at placere
kontrolpanelet ved siden af en lyskontakt, især hvis frontpladerne er forskellige). Kun en
kvalificeret elektriker bør foretage disse installationer.
Undgå at placere KP10, hvor der er en synslinje til en anden KP10. I sådanne situationer kan
begge kontrolpaneler fange de samme kommandoer fra en fjernbetjening, og det vil være
vanskeligt at styre hver zone uafhængigt.
Undgå at placere KP10, hvor der er en synslinje til kildeudstyr til systemet. I sådanne situationer
kan kildeudstyret direkte fange de samme IR-kommandoer, som fanges af kontrolpanelet og
sendes til kildeudstyret. Det kan påvirke fjernbetjeningen af kildeudstyret.
Placer ikke kontrolpanelet i områder med direkte sollys eller stærkt lys fra lysstofrør. De kan være
kilder med infrarød energi, som kan påvirke fjernbetjeningen af systemet. Nogle plasmafjernsyn
kan udstråle en stor mængde infrarød energi, og det tilrådes at være forsigtig, hvis en KP10
placeres i nærheden af et plasmafjernsyn. Undgå at placere KP10 i nærheden af lysdæmpere
eller andre anordninger, som genererer meget elektrisk støj.
