Activeren door het
schakelen in de
achteruitversnelling:
Contact inschakelen en motor starten.
In achteruitversnelling schakelen. Het display wordt verlicht en het voer-
tuigsymbool verschijnt op het display. De parkeerafstandscontrole is meet-
klaar.
Activeren door het
indrukken van de toets Aan/
Uit op de weergave-
eenheid:
Toets Aan/Uit (Afb. 19,4) indrukken. Het display wordt verlicht en het voer-
tuigsymbool verschijnt op het display. De parkeerafstandscontrole is meet-
klaar.
Uitschakelen:
Toets Aan/Uit (Afb. 19,4) indrukken. De parkeerafstandscontrole kan onaf-
hankelijk van de gekozen inschakelmethode met de toets Aan/Uit op elk
moment worden uitgeschakeld.
Afstandsindicatie De afstand tussen het voertuig en de hindernis wordt op drie manieren weer-
gegeven:
Het display (Afb. 19) geeft de afstand in stappen van 5 cm aan. Aangegeven
wordt altijd de kleinste door een sensor gemeten afstand.
Bovendien duiden zwarte meetveldblokken in de grafische afstandsweergave
het naderen van een hindernis aan.
Naast de optische indicaties weerklinkt er een akoestisch signaal (toonvolg-
orde) dat afhankelijk van de afstand verandert. Als de afstand tussen voertuig
en hindernis kleiner wordt, wordt ook de tijdsduur tussen de tonen tot de per-
manente toon korter.
Z Bij het inschakelen van het contact voert de parkeerhulp een zelftest uit.
Als een sensor defect is, wordt de sensorpositie op het display door snel
knipperen aangeduid. De parkeerhulp werkt verder zonder de defecte
sensor.
Een storing in de radioverbinding wordt op het display aangeduid met een
zendmastsymbool. Er is geen afstandsmeting meer mogelijk.
Bij het schakelen uit de achteruitversnelling wordt het zendmastsymbool
eveneens kort aangeduid.
