Introduction
Dear customer,
Thank you very much for deciding for this BURG-WÄCHTER safe with
the SecuTronic electronic unit. You have thus acquired a product meeting
extremely high security requirements and developed and manufactured
using the latest technical potential.
Important: Please read the entire Instruction Manual before
programming and store it at a safe place for future reference at any
time you may need it.
We hope you will enjoy your new BURG-WÄCHTER safe.

Important remarks
In order to enhance the protection against intrusion, the following points
should be observed
– No personal data (e.g. date of birth) or other data, for which a link can
be derived through the code owner, should be used for coding.
– If the code is stored in writing, such document should be consistently
stored safely, so that it is accessible only to the authorized persons.
– Attention: Any changes of the opening code shall be made with the safe
door opened!
– When the locking system has been reset to another code, this new code
should be repeatedly used with the safe door opened.

In order to open the safe, an opening code is available.
Opening code: 123456 (factory setting)
The PIN code always contains 6 digits.

Opening using the opening code
– Press “On”.
– Enter the 6 digit opening code.
– The green ready to open icon goes on.
– The lock can be opened by turning the knob.

The ready to open icon goes on when a valid code has been entered.
Temporarily blocked
When a wrong opening code is entered three times in a row, the lock
blocks the operation for 5 minutes. Then for 20 minutes after any
additional wrong entry. During this time, the red blocking time icon is
flashing and the lock cannot be opened even with a valid opening code.
Programming status
When the programming mode is entered, the programming mode icon
goes on. It goes off again when the programming mode is terminated.

Denied entry
When an invalid opening code is entered, the red denied entry
icon goes on.

Battery replacement symbol
When the battery replacement symbol goes on, the batteries shall
be replaced.

Service call
Maintenance is required. Please notify your specialized retailer.

Key confirmation
Any successful key action is confirmed with a brief flashing of the key
confirmation icon.
Changing the code
– Press “On”.
– Enter the valid 6 digit opening code.
The green key confirmation goes on briefly.
– Hold “Enter” for 5 seconds until the “Ready to open” icon lights up.
– Enter your new 6 digit opening code and press “Enter”.
– Reenter your new 6 digit opening code and press “Enter”. If the green
ready to open icon goes on, your code change has been made
successfully. If the red icon representing denied entry goes on, your code
change was unsuccessful and it has to be repeated. After an unsuccessful
code entry, the existing code remains valid.

Dear customer,

Should you intend to dispose of this device at any time, please remember
that many components of this device contain valuable materials, which can
be recycled.
Please be aware that electrical and electronic devices, as well
as batteries, should not be disposed of as household waste,
but rather collected separately. Please obtain information on
the collecting points for electrical waste from the responsible
authority of you municipality.
