Voertuig aan de berijder aanpassen
Negatieve veerweg afstellen
Negatieve veerweg of sag is het inveren van de vork
onder het gewicht van de berijder. Bij een correct
afgestelde sag kan het voorwiel tijdens het rijden de
oneffenheden van het terrein beter volgen. Wanneer
de positieve vuldruk wordt verhoogd, wordt ook de sag
verhoogd. De vorkblokkering moet geopend zijn.
De sag van de vork wordt afgelezen op de
veerwegaanduiding op de bovenste buis van de
vork. De veerwegaanduiding moet tegen de
bovenste afdichting worden gezet.
Laat de berijder met zijn normale voertuigkleding
op het voertuig gaan zitten en het stuur belasten.
Laat de berijder weer afstappen van het voertuig.
Lees de afstand af tussen de afdichting en de
veerwegaanduiding. Deze afstand is de sag van de
vork.
De sag bedraagt in het optimale geval 20% van de
maximale veerweg.
Voorbeeld bij een maximale veerweg van 160 mm:
0,2 x 160 mm = 32 mm (sag van de vork)
Wanneer de sag niet optimaal is afgesteld, kan
deze door aanpassing van de positieve vuldruk
worden geoptimaliseerd.
