Using your Diverse 3016
Classic with a switchboard
Your Diverse 3016 Classic can be
connected to compatible switchboards.
If in doubt please contact your
switchboard supplier.
Setting to Tone or Pulse
dialling
Your Diverse 3016 Classic is pre-set to
TONE dialling – you will hear a tone
beep each time you dial a number.
Tone dialling is suitable for all modern
digital exchanges. If you cannot make
a call with TONE dialling, you may need
to switch to PULSE dialling.
To set PULSE dialling
• Press the SET button.
• Press the 3 then 5 buttons.
• Press the OK ( ) button.
• Enter the current base station PIN
(original setting 0000).
• Press the OK ( ) button.
• Press the 4 button.
• Press the OK ( ) button to confirm.
• Press the RED PHONE button to
return to standby.
To re-set to TONE dialling
• Press the SET button.
• Press the 3, then 5 buttons.
• Press the OK ( ) button.
• Enter the current base station PIN
(original setting 0000).
• Press the OK ( ) button.
• Press the 1 button to set Tone with
fixed flash time.
• Press the OK ( ) button to confirm.
• Press the RED PHONE button to
return to standby.
Entering access codes
When connected to a switchboard, an
access code must be dialled to get an
outside line on your Diverse 3016 Classic.
The dial out code must be entered
whenever you are storing numbers in
your Diverse 3016 Classic’s memory,
eg, speed dial numbers, additional
emergency numbers (when using call
barring), and network provider prefix
numbers.
