Making a Buttonhole

(XL5010 only)

NOTE:

1. It is recommended to practice making a buttonhole on a scrap piece

of fabric before attempting it on the actual garment.

2. When sewing buttonholes on thin fabrics, place stabilizer material

on the underside of the fabric.

Buttonhole-making is a simple process that provides reliable results.

Making a Buttonhole

1. Using tailor’s chalk, mark the position and length of the buttonhole

on the fabric.

2. Attach the buttonhole foot, then slide the outside frame of the but-

tonhole foot as far back as possible.

3. The front bar tack will be sewn first. Place the fabric under the

presser foot so that the center of the front bar tack mark is directly

under the center of the presser foot and aligned with the two red

lines as shown.

NOTA:

1. Le recomendamos hacer una prueba de costura de ojales en un

pedazo de tela antes de empezar a hacerla en el tejido del traba-

jo.

2. Para hacer ojales en materiales finos, coloque un material esta-

bilizador debajo del tejido.

La función de costura de ojales es un proceso simple que ofre-

ce increíbles resultados.

Cosido del ojal

1. Con jaboncillo, marque la posición del ojal en el tejido.

2. Instale el prensatelas para ojales y luego deslice suavemente la

estructura exterior del prensatelas para ojales tan lejos como le

sea posible.

3. Se va a coser primero el remate de la parte delantera del ojal.

Coloque el tejido debajo del prensatelas para que el centro de la

marca del remate de la parte delantera esté directamente debajo

del centro del prensatelas y se alinee con las dos líneas rojas

como se muestra.

NOTA:

1. Si consiglia esercitarsi nella cucitura delle asole su un campione di stof-

fa prima di realizzarle sull’indumento vero e proprio.

2. Quando si eseguono asole su tessuti sottili, applicare una tela di rinfor-

zo sotto il tessuto.

Il procedimento per eseguire asole è semplice e garantisce ottimi risul-

tati.

Esecuzione di un’asola

1. Marcare con un gessetto per sarti la posizione dell’asola sul tessuto.

2. Applicare il piedino per asole e spingere indietro più a fondo possibile il

telaietto esterno del piedino.

3. La macchina eseguirà per prima la barretta frontale. Collocare il tessuto

sotto il piedino per asole in modo che il centro del segno della barretta

frontale si trovi direttamente sotto il centro del piedino e sia allineato

rispetto alle due linee rosse come mostrato.
