MAINTENANCE
MANTENIMIENTO
Automatic Thread Cutting
(Model PS-2500, STAR140E)
NOTE:
Do not operate the Thread Cutter Lever while sewing
or when there is no fabric in the sewing machine.
Threads may become tangled or other problems
may be incurred.
* When sewing with thread thicker than #30 or with
nylon, metallic and other specialty threads, cut
the threads with the thread cutter on the left side
of the machine. Sewing without cutting the threads
or with a needle thread that is too short may cause
the threads to become tangled.
* Normally, the Thread Cutter Lever will move up
and the sewing machine will stop operating after
the threads are cut. However, the Thread Cutter
Lever may stay down when certain threads and
fabrics are used. If this occurs, slightly turning the
balance wheel will allow the lever to move up.
Starting to sew with the Thread Cutter Lever
down will cause it to move up; and a problem may
occur.
* Depending on the type of thread and fabric used,
the needle may stay down near the needle plate
after the threads are cut. This is not a malfunction.
If this prevents the fabric from being removed
from the machine, slightly turn the balance wheel
away from you and raise the needle.
* Do not operate the Thread Cutter Lever when
sewing with the twin needle. The threads may
become tangled. During twin needle sewing, al-
ways cut the threads with the thread cutter on the
left side of the machine.
If the Thread Cutter Lever stays down and the
sewing machine cannot be used, raise the Thread
Cutter Lever and check for the conditions mentioned
on page 72. If the Thread Cutter Lever stays down,
turn the balance wheel to raise the needle and raise
the Thread Cutter Lever to its original position.
Cortahilos automático
(Modelo PS-2500, STAR140E)
NOTA:
No
original.
