Richten van de telescoop:
Maak de stelschroef (A) los en richt de telescoop met de tubusopening naar
het noorden uit. Draai hierna de stelschroef weer vast.
Maak hierna de stelschroef (B) los en kantel de telescooptubus op een

horizontale positie. Verstel nu het contragewicht (C) zo ver tot de tubus en
het contragewicht in evenwicht staat. Draai eveneens de stelschroef weer
vast.
Instelling van de telescoop:
Nu moet u de “Latitude”-as (D) instellen d.m.v. openen en sluiten van de
klemschroef (E). Het cijfer op welke u de as instelt richt zich naar de breed-
tegraad van uw woonplaats.
Aansluitend stelt u de declinatie-as (F) op 90° eveneens d.m.v. openen en
sluiten van de klemschroef (G). De telescoop is nu parallel tot de aardas
gericht.
Observeren met de telescoop:
Uw telescoop is nu gericht en ingesteld. Om een gemakkelijke observatie-
positie in te nemen maakt u de schroef aan de tubushouder (H) los zodat u
de tubus kunt draaien. Draai de tubus op een positie zodat u gemakkelijk
door het oculair kunt kijken. Als u nu door het oculair kijkt moet u de poolster
kunnen zien. Een fijnafstelling wordt d.m.v. draaien met de buigzame as (I)
van de declinatie-as verkregen en voor het instellen van de beeldscherpte
gebruikt u het focuswiel (J).
